Hey everyone, the crew has finally returned home after packing down and is beginning to stabilise after the events of the weekend.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everybody who made it out to the renegade event. We were deeply touched by the smiling faces and experiences shared.
To the artists that came out and played their music, both international, interstate and domestic, thank you for helping create these unforgettable memories.

We were blessed by an amazing crowd that did attend and were lucky to have a determined and unwavering team of individuals that helped us piece this replacement together last minute.
While the original event did not proceed as planned, what emerged was truly special and reaffirmed why we do what we do.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances, this last-minute replacement could not be posted online and was only spread through word of mouth to as many people as possible. We apologise to anyone who did not receive this notification.

We are grateful for your patience and understanding during this time, and we will be responding to all your messages in the coming days.

Moving forward, we are hosting a fundraiser this Sunday to assist us in paying our debts and providing another opportunity for people to come and experience some of the artists they were looking forward to seeing over the weekend.

Those who had tickets to the original event can enter for free by purchasing a $1 ticket that matches the name on the original ticket. Attending this fundraiser does not affect your ability to receive a refund for the original event. But to determine crowd capacity and run a safe event, we need to know how many people will be attending.

For anyone else, entry is $30 presale and $40 at the door.

Dear community, it is with the heaviest hearts we announce that Origins Of Entropy 2023 is cancelled.

We worked relentlessly during the past years, including throughout the Covid lockdown periods, to prepare the event council application. We want to be transparent about everything we have been going through that has led to this point.

We started working on this event prior to April 2022, and we initiated getting the event application ready to submit to Shoalhaven Council. We communicated with the council for many months to understand what they required from us to submit a successful event application. After months of work and spending between $30,000 to $40,000 to prepare the application with the council's guidance, our DA was eventually denied due to the adverse effect that additional traffic would create on the surrounding community. There was no amount of additional procedures we could implement to overcome this hurdle.

This set us back the majority of 2022.
In late 2022 we initiated organising the event to be legally set up in the ACT, but due to time restrictions and other hurdles, we were unable to get the event approved in time.

We are moved by the love of this community and the space and opportunity for growth it provides, so we decided to go ahead with the beautiful private property that was available to us to bring everyone together for this event.

But today, police have stated that the event can not go ahead under any circumstances, and if we did, there would be heavy repercussions for the property owner, the crew and attendees. We were prepared to deal with any personal outcomes, but we are now left with no choice but to cancel the event.

We are shattered to have to make this announcement, and we understand how disappointing this is for everyone.
Refunds will be offered; please allow us some time to physically and emotionally cope. The last thing we want you to know is that we did all we could and are sorry.

HEL Waters
A Melbourne based surrealist acrylic painter, illustrator and muralist who draws inspiration from nihilistic science fiction novels, avant-garde horror films, depressive black metal and Australian flora & fauna. Although prolific in output, he rarely exhibits, thus earning him a reputation of elusiveness, wherein his work is hard to find but ultimately worth seeking out. His imagery focuses on themes regarding the impermanence of man and a resurgence of nature. The strange alienating beauty within decayed bodily forms results in his work presenting a sombre and cathartic meditation on death via a celebration of the natural order. A creature of technicality, each piece is rendered with painstaking attention to detail, with focus given to colour composition and tone. All elements combined signal a deep love for the craft that may leave the viewer with a feeling of having intruded on the wholly personal.

A mini update. The set times will be released next week, along with the timetables for all the lifestyle areas.

We will be allowing early access on Thursday to people who are interested. Early access passes are an additional $30 per person and can be bought at the gate. We will not have any additional entertainment on Thursday, but everything kicks off around 12 PM on Friday.
Plus, save yourself the headache of driving at the same time as everyone else on Good Friday public holiday. ;)

And Gate opening and closing times are as follows.

The founder of Georhythmic designs, Angela Rose began exploring sacred geometry 11 years ago. She expresses her devotion to art and geometry in various forms, including wooden mandala designs that combine art and technology for a meditative experience. Angela has also recently created a mini-series of hand-cut geometry jewellery and is exploring watercolours. Her art is mesmerising and ever-changing and aims to provide admirers with a sense of balance and healing.

Morrighan Rue Raven
Morrighan has been creating art for as long as she can remember. Her style develops and changes in harmony with life experience, drawing being her primary form of expression. Morrighan feels that artistic exploration and expression are her way of analysing imagery from dreamscapes and processing experiences from the natural and psychedelic world. Morrighan’s work has a general focus on humanoid beings that are reflective of the self, symbolic creatures and surrealist flora. Sydney producer, Synestrix, aka Rosie Dingle-Moss, creates experimental psytrance influenced by dark psy, forest and hi-tech music. Dear OOE 2023 Patrons,

Despite our best efforts, we have had to find a new home for the event.
We understand that changing the location may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption to your plans, but please know that we have taken great care in choosing a property that is easily accessible and convenient for everyone, with good access roads and plenty of space for camping.

Rest assured that the new location is equally amazing, with beautiful views and lovely green rolling hills, and is a familiar space located on a private property that has hosted many events in the past.

It is still within a reasonable distance from Canberra, Sydney, and the Illawarra Region, roughly 3 - 3.5 hours SouthWest of Sydney, which means that travel times to the new site from Melbourne, Sydney, ACT, NNSW, and other locations are not significantly affected.

It's important to us that we reiterate our commitment to delivering an outstanding Easter event, complete with all the amazing music, art installations, workshops, performances, and market area that you have come to expect from OOE; despite the challenges we have faced, our efforts are focused on ensuring that the event meets and surpasses the expectation of everyone.

We will send out the exact location of OOE 2023 to ticket holders prior to the gates opening. We apologise for the lateness of this announcement, but we delayed this decision for as long as possible, so we could try all our options to secure Brooman for the upcoming event.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you in a few weeks!

Oooh yeah. everyone's favorite topic. let's talk about road safety and how we can all do our part.

Carpooling, not only a great way to save some money on travel but also reduces the number of vehicles on the road. Plus, it's better for the environment!

Remember to prepare before you go and avoid using your phone while driving. Prep those playlists, download your tickets, and get your directions sorted before hitting the road.
And be super mindful when driving in rural areas. Our furry little friends like to run out when you least expect it - so please watch out for them!

Driving on unfamiliar roads, be extra cautious and always obey any road signage, including the events' temporary signage.

An obvious one, but nonetheless crucial, is never to drive under the influence of alcohol or other substances. If you are unsure if you should be driving, just don’t. Everyone can stay on-site until Tuesday to ensure a well-rested drive home. Plus, the entertainment goes until late Monday ;)

Finally, Easter Long Weekend means double demerits will be in place, and RBT's and RDT's are to be expected.

Want to help out?
Join us in our efforts. Rethink and reduce what you bring to the event. Encourage friends to do the same, opt for reusable / recyclable items, and avoid single-use products.

Garbage Gremlins at OOE - It's great to have Gary and his awesome team supporting us again. But we want to make their job as cruisey as possible.
If you see any litter, be a legend and pick it up. And if you spot someone else leaving rubbish behind, let them know that we're all in this together.

There will be plenty of easily accessible and well labelled bins around the site. So no excuses there. ;)

Bonnie Heather is a 33 year old dance facilitator and energy worker from planet Arcturus. She has created a workshop called ‘Deepen Your Dance Movement and Meditation’, which she enjoys sharing with people in the community. She has held space for this workshop at a variety of festivals, including Happy Days, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Earth Frequency, Elements, Esoteric & Burning Seed. Bonnie has been a dance teacher for eight years and has created a space that allows people to express themselves through movement and bring intention to their dance.
