Sydney Bushwalking Group Please share this page. The main aims of this group are bushwalking, exercise, fun and social activities in a friendly, caring and supportive environment.

Welcome to Sydney Bushwalking Group's new page, which has been set up to make it easier for our members to communicate with each other and share photos and experiences. This group has been set up for people who are primarily interested in bushwalking around Sydney Harbour, Sydney beaches, National Parks and coastal bush areas within 2 hours drive from Sydney. If you have a good sense of h

umour and enjoy walking, talking, meeting people, sight-seeing, photography, wining, dining, swimming, barbeques, camping, multi-day hike, day trips, trips away in the country and overseas trips, this would be a good group for you to join. Currently, We have bushwalks that range from easy paced 3 hours walks to difficult all day 38 kms walks. They are mostly bush or coastal walk, but also include canyon walks and 4 WD to remote locations. We also have the overland track and overseas trips scheduled. We shall be training Oxfam trailwalker teams from March 2015.

We warmly welcome NSW Labor's commitment to establish a Great Koala National Park!

If created, this significant new national park will go a long way to securing the future of our Australian icon by protecting 20% of NSW's remaining wild koalas. This can be achieved by adding 175,000 ha of state forest to 140,000 ha of existing protected areas on the NSW north coast. Our proposal mirrors the approach that China has used to protect its Giant Pandas.
We need to encourage the NSW Coalition Government to match Labor's commitment and help secure the future of our koalas.
