Is anyone interested in walking Kumano Kodo & Nakasendo in this May? Four walkers have postponed their travel and now my Spirit of Japan walking tour 11-25 May has 4 spots available. Ohayo, I ran Hobart Cadbury Half Marathon on last Saturday. It was my 10th one here since 2011. Each time, it takes me longer to reach the goal but it’s my January routine and I like coming back to Hobart. Ookini Kikuko san (my mother) for giving me a sustainable engine. Do you remember Kazuko san & Sumie san?
They own beautiful accommodation called Daikichi in Tsumago. I’m so lucky to be able to take so many walkers to Daikichi over the years and I always wanted to invited them to Kyoto, so I did and showed them around my hometown Kyoto. I can’t thank them enough and all the other service providers. My tour season won’t be over till I take this VIP to somewhere. She’s Kikuko san (my mother). She wanted to try Fugu🐡, so we drove 2hrs north from Kyoto city to Ine where it has nice onsen♨️ and “Funaya(boathouse)” We had a full course Fugu menu last night and now we’re waiting for breakfast, so it seems all is ok. It’s getting harder to take Kikuko san out, but I hope I can take her again somewhere around this time next year. Ookini😊

Autumn Colours Tour - Hiroshima
“Arigato” was the word I received from this old security guard at the monument for the children in the Peace Park when each of us donated Orizuru(paper cranes). I bowed at him but I didn’t make any further conversation but I wish I had one. Last month, Nihon Hidankyo, the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organisation was named winners of the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize. Autumn Colours Tour - Shirakawago
Yesterday, we had a chartered coach from Gero Onsen to Kanazawa via Shirakawago village. The views from our bus were stunning and autumn colours in Shirakawago were in the next level… Now, I’m not sure we can find better ones in next nine days of 🍁 hunting, but we’ll try!!

Deep North Autumn Walks - Oirase
We had a great day taking Towada Lake cruise and walking along Oirase Gorge. I’m not sure that I can have better day at here but I guess I thought the same way last time I was here too. Every day is a good day. 🍁日々是好日🍁
