L’Oscar London Boutique Hotel
I was very fortunate to be given a private tour of this hotel with my friends who were staying at this hotel. This building was originally a church and many of the historical features have been preserved and highlighted in the refurbishment of the building into the beautiful hotel it is today. The L’Oscar suite has a Super King Bed and a bathroom in which a golden bathtub takes centre stage. There are two carvings from the original church - one being Freedom From Sin and one being Freedom From Slavery. The original church dome soars over the hotel bar and the meeting room with the teal blue walls and peacock motifs is regularly used for weddings and receptions.

L’Oscar hotel in London. With the busy streets of London outside and Holborn tube station across the road, this hotel is a quiet refuge. The reception area is a beautiful lounge and the lighting is muted and relaxing.

Selfridges Department Store was an old haunt from the days I lived in London.

There is a rooftop bar and restaurant at John Lewis Department Store near Bond Street tube station. It is called 1864 and has relaxing lounge spaces and English garden plantings. Fancy a G & T after a busy shopping day?

When cruising on a Cunard Ocean Liner, I recommend upgrading yourself to a Princess Grill stateroom.

Loved the coffee machine in the room for which we received daily restocking of Illy coffee pods.
Mineral water bottles replenished twice daily.
Princess Grill dining was excellent.
