THAILAND:
Australians are now visa exempted for up to 60 days stay for tourism purposes,(restricted to 2 entries per calendar year when entering by land or sea).
For other purposes than tourism a visa is required, please contact us our office.

Effective Monday 1st July 2024, the Chinese government has announced a visa exemption for Australian nationals for stays of up to 15 days. Australians will be able to enter China without a visa for the purpose of tourism, business, visiting family/friends and transiting.

Those who wish to stay beyond the 15 days or travel under other than the purposes mentioned above, a visa is required in advance.

The Chinese Embassy Canberra and Consulate of China Sydney has removed the fingerprints collection from the requirements until the 31/12/2024, for the following visa categories on all single and double entry visas:

1) Tourism (L)
2) Family visit (Q2)
3) Transit (G)
4) Crew members (C)
5) Commercial trade activities (M)

Important note: Fingerprint collection is still mandatory for all multiple entry visa categories.

The following applicants are exempted from the bio-metric fingerprints requirement:

> Minors under the age of 14 and seniors over the age of 70;
> Those who have had fingerprints previously done within the last 5 years and their passport is still valid;
> Any applicants with medical conditions that prevents them from participating;
> Applicants holding a diplomatic passport or eligible for application of diplomatic, service or courtesy visa of China;

Please be advised of the upcoming Lunar New Year closures starting Friday 09/02/2024 through to Friday 16/02/2024.

During the Lunar New Year closures the Embassy and immigration offices will be closed for visa processing.

These closures will affect visa processing for the following countries:

1. Vietnam
2. China
3. Hong Kong
4. South Korea
5. Taiwan
6. Singapore

When lodging and sending in the visa documents, please subject in the closures that may affect the visa processing time.

The Brazil government has announced a further extension to the visa exemption for nationals of Australia, Canada and the United States up until the 10th April 2024.

Travellers from the above countries entering Brazil before the 10th April 2024 are not required to obtain a visa before arrival and are visa exempted for up to 90 days stay for tourism / transit purposes.

We will keep you posted closer to the date if the Brazil government plans to remove the visa exemption for Australians.

BRAZIL UPDATE:
Effective 10th January 2024, Australian, Canadian and USA passport holders are required to obtain a visa before arriving into Brazil. There are no visa on arrival options. If they arrive into Brazil before the 10th January 2024 they are visa exempted for up to 90 days. For other nationals please call our office.

The Brazil e-visa is now live on our website for visa processing.

BRAZIL VISA:
The Brazilian Government has extended the visa exemption for citizens from Australia, Canada and the USA until 10 January 2024. After this date the e-visa will be in effect and required to be obtained before arriving to Brazil. Please call our office for further details.

VIETNAM VISA: Good news, Vietnam eVisas will now allow travellers up to 90 days stay, with the option of single or multiple entries, which previously applicants were only allowed single entry with a max of 30 days stay. Should you need more information please contact our office.

SOUTH KOREA ETA:
Australian passport holders is among the 22 countries that can visit South Korea as a tourist for stays of up to 90 days without applying for a K-ETA (or visa waiver).
This exemption is effective until 31 December 2024. Previously approved K-ETA applications will remain valid up to the granted expiry date.
