Part 2 of our 2 month sojourn. We're now onboard Seabourn Ovation, into day 5 of our 11 day Lisbon to Dover golf cruise. Thus far we've been blessed with sunny weather and good golfing conditions. A highlight for me was escorting 24 Virtuoso clients to the UNESCO designated city of Guimaraes, Spain to enjoy a fascinating tour of this charming town followed by a delicious lunch at the very welcoming Casa de Juste. This manor house has been in the owners family for 600 years and the father of the current family member who runs the property was the creator of Mateus Rose. That is a blast from the past for sure. It was a wonderful day. Seabourn created a lovely Virtuoso Cocktail Party on the back of the ship just 2 nights later. You are invited to join Trendsetter Travel Golf Tour’s inaugural tour of the Robert Trent Jones (RTJ) Golf Trail through Alabama from 11 to 25 April 2023. The RTJ Golf Trail was constructed in the early 1990s in a partnership comprising Robert Trent Jones Snr, the Alabama State Government, Marriott Hotels and a large USA Pension Fund in a world-first targeted project to simultaneously attract tourists and retirees to Alabama.

The tour commences in Mobile and finishes in Memphis. The accommodation on the RTJ Golf Trail is an average 4 ½ star standard with all rooms offering king size or double/double bed preferences, and a separate shower and bath. The tour focuses on 5 locations and offers play on 11-13 courses, in the more developed areas of Alabama so that your golf experience can be complemented by sightseeing and restaurant options. All the RTJ courses you play on the Trail are simply magnificent. To put in an Australian context, most are comparable to the exceptional Bonville Golf Course in Northern NSW and The Old Course at The National.
