strengthening initiative, connecting key stakeholders from diverse sectors to strategise, and collaborate
to develop a shared strengths-based definition of ‘Aboriginal Early Years in Victoria’. So proud Happenings Australia team played an integral part in making it happen.

I have been working and making NESMA - National Electrical Switchboard Manufacturers Association events happen for over 20 years and this years National conference was amazing. Held at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, with our conference guest speaker Darren ‘the gun’ Flanagan who had the audience engaged in an emotional roller coaster ride, then we had the amazing dinner Artist Brad Blaze who brought out all the Elvis movers and shakers, along with our musical duo Blue Poppy who got everyone dancing to Sweet Caroline. The partners also engaged in a clay & sip morning with bubbles in hand. A truly memorable and fun evening thanks to the amazing sponsors. aps, B&R Enclosures, Eaton, Eltech, ipd, Phoenix Contact, NHP and Schneider Electric. Love this job!!!

What an historic event to have the privilege of making happen! The Easter Maar Native Title Determination at Logan’s Beach Warrnambool. The rain didn’t deter the smoking ceremony by the community ceremony participants who guided family groups to the marquee, the judge and entourage, minister and the guests. Working with the amazing Ange Jeffery at Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation will go down as one of my proud Happenings moments.
The vacant land was created into an amazing event.

I was his secretary 40 years ago and for the past 25 years I have been making his Spring Carnival events happen! Although in 2020 & 2021 we couldn't make it happen due to COVID, my fabulous Client Wayne from Qube Logistics and his Assistant Nicole always think of me and this year was no different. They know me too well and this sensational Christmas Cocktail gift delivered today is very special, especially given our events haven't happened for the past 2 years. But alas 2022 we will be back on track making it happen!!!

29 years ago today, my dream of ‘making it happen’ began and Happenings Australia was born! From my home in Port Melbourne shared with my besties, Sandra Law and Deb Blaber, the kitchen table was turned into a board room table and was soon outgrown with a phone call from Hoechst who became one of my biggest clients for many many many years. At one stage having over 25 fabulous staff employed making it happen all around the world. The many ups and downs life throws us has given me many challenges which have only made my passion of keeping it happening even more alive. Although COVID has hit the events industry in such a BIG way, I am still proud to keep it Happening no matter how big or small! The many awesome staff, the fantastic clients, the sensational suppliers and of course my fabulous friends who only ever give me positive words and support make it all worthwhile. Thank you for being part of my success of the last 29 years!

I am honoured and proud to be recognised on this International Women's Day by the Mothers Day Classic. A Promise is a promise to my daughter.

This International Women’s Day, we want to shine a spotlight on Lee-Anne, one of our amazing MDC ambassadors 💗

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 with no family history, Lee-Anne made a promise to her daughter to raise awareness and life-changing funds every Mother’s Day. She’s passionate about doing all she can to help achieve the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by the time her daughter Catherine is 25 years old in 2030.

“We have no history of breast cancer in our family, but it started with me and I want it to finish at me”

Lee-Anne is once again getting active for breast cancer research for the Mother’s Day Classic in May 2021 and has already raised over $1,000 for breast cancer research.
