The photo is not so great, but here is what I think is a Brown Antechinus visiting the garden (i'm happy to be corrected) I am also happy he is in the garden, although she is probably looking for a way into the warm cabin. I'm sorry, but they are determined creatures and sometimes succeed.

Unfortunately, our guests this weekend have had to cancel. 😞
So there's an opportunity to grab a last-minute getaway.
Early check-in and late checkout are available, and the weather looks Tanjil Bren perfect. Nice enough during the day to enjoy the great outdoors and cool enough overnight to warrant starting the preset wood stove. There is a detour on the Mt Baw Baw tourist road, but that's not stopping anyone.

Hey guys the Tanjil Bren Chain Hire has been kicked out of its home of more than 50 years … thanks Chris.
BUT NEVER FEAR … we are opening up across the road at Cornwals Cabin and looking forward to seeing all your happy smiling faces in our temporary home.
Telstra service is still worse than ever, so please remember to bring cash, we still have no reception and cannot run card facilities.
The lovely Jo will be doing her best to look after you on our fb page and answering your questions.
We are hoping to see you all again this year and drive very carefully, enjoy the snow … PAUL ❄️

Magnificent Wedge tailed eagle hanging out at Ballantyne’s Saddle on the Mt Baw Baw tourist Rd. I was devastated last week when I saw him and my camera battery was flat, but not today.

A Day with Clay’s bird baths are always a favourite in the garden. Fresh clean water almost guarantees a steady stream of little birds visiting. I promise there’s a bird in there.

Woo Hoo, thanks for all the hard work everyone has done to get this back open.

The Tourist Road reopens this afternoon 👏🙌

The road has been closed since significant damage from landslides occurred in June.

Over 20,000 tonne of rock have been used by Regional Roads Victoria to restabilise the road. New drainage and surface repairs have also been completed with works that can safely be done while the road is open to continue.

The Mt Baw Baw team is very excited to once again be connected to our friends in Neerim South, Noojee and Tanjil Bren and are looking forward to the return of cyclists, motorbikes and day trippers via Warragul.
