MEET THE 2021 AUSTRALIA DAY NOMINEES 👇
Dr Nigel Roberts is the Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Manning Base Hospital. He has made an outstanding contribution to establishing a safe birthing place for women that is women centred and ensures women of the Manning Valley receive the same standard of care as if they were delivering at John Hunter Hospital. Dr Roberts trained in Queensland and started work in Taree in 2015 and has been instrumental in providing opportunities for Registrar training and initiated protocol and evidence based clinical practice guidelines. He has been nominated by another Doctor who believes that Dr Roberts’ commitment and work go far beyond his duties as Director of Obstretics and Gynaecology which benefit the women of our community.

ACMF RIVER STAGE BENEFIT CONCERT
Together we raised a whopping $37,000

The Australian Children's Music Foundation - ACMF has been at work in our community for over ten years providing music lessons and instruments to 1000’s of our children. Without community support the programs would not operate

COME ALONG, AND SUPPORT THE ACMF & THE CHILDREN OF THE MANNING VALLEY
Don't miss the opportunity to see and hear Don Spencer OAM the founder of the Australian Children's Music Foundation - ACMF live in concert at our Manning RiverStage - QE Park Taree.

Don, famous for his 25 years on ABC Playschool, but also for his huge catalogue of well known Aussie songs for kids.
Also on the bill is the incredibly talented Minnie Marks along with the The Goodfellas Band, Uncle Russell Saunders and Fiona Fields

This concert is to help raise money to support the programs working in our community. At present the ACMF is operating in five primary schools bringing music education for free to young people who would ordinarily miss out until year seven. It's Don's dream that no child misses out on an opportunity to access a music education.

The Rotary Club of Taree and Taree on Rotary Club of Taree On Manning invites you to a unique opportunity to view the incredible true story of Rotarian Ken Hutt’s attempt to become the first person to fly a paraglider legally from Mt Everest. Ken will be present at the event, offering a unique opportunity for a Q&A session. This event is not just about the film but also about helping the campaign to End Polio Now. Tickets can be purchased from THEMEC.COM.AU on Sunday, September 15th, at 2 p.m. Tickets include afternoon tea.

Harrington Rotary are hoping to get a bike / walking path from Harrington to Crowdy Head. Use the link below to tell MidCoast Council that this is a project that needs their attention for safety reasons for our bike riders and those wanting exercise. Possibly using the old railway corridor this project will benefit all in our community and provide an additional tourism attraction for the Harrington and Crowdy Head area.

Do you walk, cycle or use trails for another purpose? It’s time to let us know where you currently walk and cycle and where you’d like to be headed in the future.

Rotarian and mountaineer Ken Hutt’s mission was to raise the profile of and money for Rotary International’s End Polio Now Campaign.

In 2022, Ken attempted to become the oldest person ever to Paraglide off the top of Mount Everest. Whilst Ken wasn’t succesful, three members of his team made it to the peak and delivered his message!

This is your invitation to hear 62 year old, Rotary Club of Berry member, Ken Hutt’s story that ended in almost tragedy… and to marvel at the emotional documentry film of his journey “Fly from Everest”.

What a magic day we had at Harrington today for our first Bike-A-Thon.

Lots of people turned out for the ride from Club Harrington to the Shoreline Tavern where we were met with market and food stalls and live music.

Members of our club will be out again this weekend volunteering in Harrington. We have a bike-A-thon happening at 10.30am starting near Club Harrington and finishing at the Shoreline Tavern where we will have live music and market stalls.
