Week 43 & 44 (Cape Hillsborough- Mackay- Yeppoon- Tannum sands- 1770- Agnus Waters- Bundaberg- Elliott heads- Hervey Bay- Tin Can Bay- Inskip Point)

The last 12 days we have been hopping our way down the coast!

We spent a few nights camping behind the back of pubs and calling in to these different spots as we go!

We sat and watched the kangaroos on the beach at Cape Hillsborough before doing a couple of hikes and some fishing.

Continued through Mackay where we stopped in at the lagoon for a swim before making our way towards Yeppoon. We camped out at the national park near Yeppoon which also allowed for us to be able to have a dip.

We treated ourselves to a caravan park at Tannum Sands and celebrated Brad turning 24! He's a big boy now.

The next few nights we spent at 1770 and Angus Waters camped up on beach fronts enjoying the views and trying to catch a couple of fish!

When in Bundaberg you drink! The distillery was definitely on the list and it didn't disappoint. Was absolutely incredible. If we had more money I reckon it could have been spent here.

Yesterday was organised ourselves at Harvey Bay as we head over to Fraser island for 10 nights today! We were even lucky enough to have a Terang local Tom Justin join us for the trip over!

Fraser is going to be wild! Happy days ♥️

Week 41 & 42 (Mission Beach - Wallaman falls - Big and Little Crystal Creek- Townsville - Cape Cleveland - Dingo Beach - Hideaway Bay - Airlie Beach)

After spending another couple of days at Mission Beach we made our way down to Wallaman Falls! This is Australia's largest waterfall and was absolutely sensational. We spent most of our day here.

We continued our way down the coast to Big & Little Crystal Creek where we spent 2 nights camped up! Relaxing at camp and spending some time in the icy cold water.

Townsville was next on our list and much to our surprise it was actually quite beautiful. We spent a day in the sun on the beach, did a service to the utes and went up castle hill. The next night we found ourselves at a game of NRL with Australia taking on Samoa. Tick that off the bucket list!!

Some local knowledge helped us find a beach camp at Cape Cleveland with a beautiful sunrise and sunset. Even the surf rod got used.

Bowen got the chance to spend 2 days at his new favourite town, 'Bowen'. The beaches were amazing and views sensational! It was refreshing to find some crystal blue water without any big puppy dogs in them!

Continued our way down to Dingo beach! Here we were lucky to stay in the driveway and relax before the busy Airlie beach experience! Hideaway bay during the day was incredible! Also learnt that sunscreen is still needed on the legs!

This week and weekend we spent in Airlie beach! A former Terang local Bondy looked after us for a few nights which included a trip over to Hamilton island for the day! This place was paradise! Some jetskis and beers didn't mix well but what a time!

Bailey's Uncle flew in for the weekend which was filled with many beers! A few sore heads and many drained bank accounts later and the weekend was done.

We are currently at Cape Hillsborough on our way down the coast where we will take on Fraser island on the 4th!

Happy days!

Week 36-40 ( Cairns- Cape York- Tip- Daintree- Port Douglas- Cairns- Mission Beach)

Another month gone means another post 🤦 Holidays is quickly coming to an end however this last month has been incredible!

We spent a couple of days in Cairns dodging some poor weather before heading up to the tip via the old telegraph track. Bowen, mason, Lexi, Chelsea, Chad and Jords, along with ourselves all met at Archer Creek! This was our final stop before getting to Bramwell station and starting the track!

We arrived at Bramwell and walked part of the first second of the track including palm creek! Although there were fires burning we decided to push through. Unfortunately some friends we met at Bramwell got caught in the fire on their walk back from Palm and our best wishes are with them on their recovery back in Melbourne.

We took 3 days heading up the telegraph track with major wheel lift, big holes and even gunshot! Yet, all cars went down gunshot.

After getting through all unscathed we finished the drive up to the tip via the PDR. Here we got our iconic photo at the sign.

We spent the night at lucky beach campground with a few celebratory drinks. The weather was however very windy which then meant we turned around and headed back down the next day!

We went to Cooktown was was an amazing little town and well worth a look! A beautiful hike up the hill and free camp at the RV park was how we spent a few days.

We ventured out to the Lions Den pub which is one of the oldest pubs in Qld. Bailey had some tyre issues and went back to Cairns to get these sorted while Brad stayed around the area another few days.

We were able to catch up with Brendon, Sarah and Caitlin Williams in Port Douglas for a couple of days before heading up to the Daintree. Thanks to the Williams for your hospitality and local price pizza, was great to catch up!

Heading up to Daintree we called in to Cape Tribulation for a look at the amazing spectical of rainforest meeting beach. We also called in to Mossman gorge for a nice walk and chilly swim!

We spent the grand final weekend in Cairns to watch Bailey's mighty pies get up in a thriller. It was a weekend full of beers and celebrating.

We have since began to work ourway down the coast towards Townsville calling in to Mission beach for a few days. An absolutly lovely place.

With us boys being very interested in the cain industry up here we got very lucky to do a tour through the Tully Mill! I can say that this was a highlight of ours and we all believe we are experts now.

Yesterday we found ourselves at Wallaman falls, the largest waterfall in Australia. Being able to swim underneath the falls was something to experience. It was absolutely incredible.

Today we will spend the day exploring crystal creek before heading to Townsville in the next day or 2.

I promise I will do a weekly update from here on out! Hold me accountable!

Happy days!!

Week 33-35 (Katherine - Litchfield National Park- Darwin- Daly Waters- Queensland Border)

Due to Bailey's poor organisation skills since leaving Victoria we are fully aware we are 5 weeks behind however hopefully this can catch a few people up on how we have spent our time!

Once leaving Katherine we made our way up to Litchfield National Park. Here we spent almost a week exploring all the wonderful swimming holes and falls it has to offer! Definitely put this on our bucket list as it was one of our favourite places thus far.

On our way out of Litchfield we called in to the Berry Hot Springs for a dip in the crystal clear water. Absolutely stunning!

Once arriving in Darwin we spent lots of time fixing utes, running errands and catching up on normality! Thanks to Floss and Scott for not only coming to visit their favourite (only) son but reminding us what it was like to live with walls, aircon and a TV. We even managed to sniff out a Rodeo!!

After a week of counter meals and many beers we hit the road towards Cairns over 3 big days. Along the way we called in to Daly Waters pub and it was a must see! We also took a much needed break at Mataranka Springs!

We spent hours and hours behind the wheel pushing to Qld to meet up with the rest of our crew before getting organised to tackle Cape York!

Again, sorry for the delay!

Cape York post coming soon! It was absolutely wild, cars down Gunshot, Wheel lift and plenty of wild memories!

Happy days!!

Week 30- 32 (Kalumbaru - El Questro, Emma Gorge, Lake Argile, Bungle Bungles, Harry's Hole, Katherine)

We left Kalumbaru filled with antibiotics by the local medical centre and god were we grateful!

We began the return leg back down before heading via Ellenbrae station for a few scones. Unfortunately Bailey's ute decided it didn't like the U bolts holding everything together anymore which meant a night stop at the Durak river and a 6 hour round trip to Kununurra to get repairs.

We spent the next few nights on the Pentecost river where we ran into the Messer family! It was great to see more familiar faces on the road.

We spent 2 days exploring all that El Questro has to offer such as its amazing gorge, the hot springs and TAP BEER.

On our way out we called in to Emma Gorge which was absolutely stunning!

In true laid back style, we went through Kununurra to Lake Argile for a couple of nights and enjoyed the views and spectacles that it had to offer! Again, simply amazing.

We headed back through Kununurra down to the Bungle Bungles! We spent 2 days exploring the Bungles and doing some amazing hikes and walks. As it has seemed on this trip, you can never get far enough away from home. Running into Jo and Sean from Noorat at a random road side stop over just outside of the Bungles. This was one of our favourite national parks and should be on every single travellers bucket list!

On our way back through we stopped in a secret location called Harry's Hole! This was our favourite Camp spot of the trip right next to the amazing gorge with not a single sole around! We also said a very sad goodbye to one of our best mates Mason Warne for the next month before rejoining at Cairns.

After heading back to Kununurra again we called in to Chris at Kununurra tow and repair for some much needed parts! This bloke is incredible both on the p**s and for getting spare parts. If you wanna hear some stories or get yourself out of a tricky situation definitely call in or give him a call!

The last week we have spent our time in and around Katherine! We have met more amazing like-minded people and seen some more amazing places. We spent many hours laying in Katherine Hotsprings getting out of the heat of the day! We did a couple of day trips to Butterfly gorge and Edith gorge which were stunning in their own way.

While in Katherine we were lucky enough to run into more familiar faces and don the Camels jersey. We cannot thank Toby (Toaster) Taylor for welcoming us into the club! Something we will have as fond memories for the rest of our lives! We were even lucky enough to win a roast chook and a Yeti cooler in the process! 🐫🐪

What an amazing 3 weeks it's been concluding our time in WA and starting our next adventure in NT! You cannot wipe the smiles off our faces each and every day!

This week's agenda: Litchfield and NT rodeo 🐂 giddy up!

Happy days 🌄

Week 28 & 29 (Broome-Kalumbaru) via Gibb River Road

We left our amazing couple of weeks in Broome and began the drive towards the Gibb River Road.
Brad still having no power steering in the Triton however that wouldn't stop Armstrong.

We did an overnight rest area before hitting the Gibb with Mason, Cathy and Troy tagging along!

We spent time swimming with the fresh water crocs in the amazing tunnel creek on day 1!

Spent 2 nights at a free camp (we decided to make it one) on top of the lookout while completing a day trip to Bell Gorge. Definitely and underrated gorge to say the least.

Continued on the dusty and corrugated roads where we found 2 underrated gorges again in Adcock and Galvans.

We spent 2 nights at Mt Barnett station and got to experience the reason you use the floating tubs to cross the river instead of try carrying them (wet bags). This walk and swim led us to Manning gorge which was just incredible.

We left Cathy and Troy and heading up to Drysdale station! Here we left Brads boat and Repaired Mason's before making a massive detour up to Mitchell falls and then Kalumbaru or McGowans Camp!

We met a couple of amazing families who we cannot wait to catch up with again in the near future! They helped us out in so many ways! Starlink being one 😜

Mitchell falls was all it was hyped up to be and more! The drive in was rough however the Hilux made light work taking all passengers in and out in one day! From there it was up to McGowans!

We spent 4 nights here which included massive cook ups, plenty of Oysters, big fires and even some fish! Although the weather didn't allow for us to catch those big ones, the experience was amazing!

After a quick stop off at Kalumbaru medical yesterday to get antibiotics for all 3 of us, it was back to Drysdale!

This morning we get back on the Gibb River Road and continue the journey, although wounded it won't stop us from having an amazing time!

1000km of s**t road and counting!

Happy days 😍

Week 22-25 (Karajini, Barn Hill, and Broome)

What an incredible last month we have had on the road! As we have described it to the family back home, it has been the best month of our lives so far!

We have been lucky enough to have meet some amazing people over the last month that we have spent some amazing memories with! All very much like minded people all travelling together and enjoying this beautiful country!

After leaving Bullara station we spent a week at Karajini National park! These photos don't do it justice just how nice the gorges and waterfalls are! Although the water was ice cold, it was a must see over this part of the world!

From Karajini we smashed out some kilometres and found ourselves with the 'vic crew' at Barn Hill station stay! We enjoyed the great company and even better camping located for 6 nights!

After leaving Barn Hill this is where the fun began (and bank account took a large hit).

Since arriving in Broome we have all been lucky enough to get 'Broome Fever'. Spending too much money and never wanting to leave! We attended the races, wet tshirt competition, Matso brewery, Gantheaume Point rock jumping and a bit of fishing!

Our travelling crew continues to get bigger and the memories continue to be made each and every day! We are looking forward to giving our livers a rest over the next couple of weeks!

We have absolutely loved our last month on the road. There have been breakdowns, sunsets, alcohol poisoning, ranger fines, plenty of laughs to name a few things and we wouldn't change a thing!

From Wednesday we begin our trip across the Gibb River Road! We have our fingers crossed that it is open and all signs are looking positive! We cannot wait for the next few weeks.

Happy days!

Week 18-21 (Geraldton- Kalbari-Lucky Bay-Shark bay- Monkey Mia-Exmouth-Bullara Station) 😂

Due to our lack of motivation and absolutely stunning backdrops and people we have met over the past 3 weeks we have forgotten to upload so we thought there is nothing better than a massive photo dump!

We have spent the last 3 weeks in clear waters catching ourselves plenty of fish. Soaking up many rays in stable 25-30 degree days! We have enjoyed meeting many people who we have spent playing cards, exploring sunsets and even a cheeky Bev or 10 with!

We spent a few days around Kalbarri and down at lucky bay! Here we explored the national park and the amazing snorkeling lucky bay has to offer! A morning hike or 2 which allowed for some great sunrise photos was a must!

Shark bay was where we had spent 3 nights in a remote camp away from everyone (other then Cathy and Troy). We spent our days fishing, sunbaking and even skurfing behind the boat!

The hype around Exmouth has lived up to expectations with crystal clear water, plenty of fish, great people and even better beer at the brewery! We spent 5 nights in the national park at Mesa before treating ourselves to the caravan park for another 3! The photos never do it justice and you have to come experience it for yourself!!

Friday night saw us arrive at Bullara station for 1 night which happened to be burger night! As we were told, one night always turns into more and we have since spent another 4 nights here! Amazing place to relax and slow down!

I've skipped over so many other amazing things such as Monkey Mia and the dolphins, the close encounter with sharks and plenty of go pro snorkeling footage!

Hopefully the photos give you a small taste of what our life has been like over the last few weeks and will continue to be like for weeks to come!

We are on cloud nine, happy days!

I could only upload 80 photos so here's a few that made the cut.
