Our last day today. We went by train to the Eastern Gardens of the Imperial Palace. Beautiful ginkgo trees lined the streets. Lunch in this park at Starbucks and then back to the hotel to get organised to transfer to the airport.

Today we had a more relaxing day around Ginza. Opportunity to wash during our stay in Tokyo as our rooms had a washer/dryer in the rooms. Shops don’t open until 11am so explored the shops. All the brand names in Ginza. Muji has an amazing bakery. Bought some Yoku Moku biscuits, my favourite, to bring home for presents. Matsuya Ginza (department store) basement level is full of upmarket food stores

Tonight we went to Ginza Corridor Street. This street runs alongside the Yamanote Train Line and has a variety of restaurants and bars that are essentially under the tracks. We had a drink at a cool bar, and then dinner at a Thai restaurant for a change. Had a leisurely walk back to our hotel. 2 more Lamborghini sightings.

This afternoon we went to TeamLabs Planets which is a sensory museum. The last room is mirrored and real or his float down. Amazing place and so different. We saw a beautiful sunset on the way back to the hotel.

This afternoon we went to TeamLabs Planets which is a sensory museum. teamLab Planets is a museum where you walk through water, a garden, lots of crystals changing colour. It comprises of different rooms with different themes. You walk around barefoot and in one room in water below your knees where there are light visions like carp fish are swimming around you. The last room is mirrored and real or his float down. Amazing place and so different.

Day 12 of our Japan Autumn Leaves tour This morning we took the Ginza Line to Shibuya. We went to Shibuya Sky which has a 360° open-air observation deck at the rooftop of Shibuya Scramble Square. Shibuya Sky is approximately 230 metres above ground and is the highest point in the district of Shibuya. This gives us a beautiful during the day after being in Tokyo Skytree at night. The lift down - super fast.

We are now staying in Tokyo for 3 nights, right in the middle of Ginza. Love this area. The streets of Ginza at night. We saw 4 Lamborghini cars that night. Lots of beautiful buildings lit up at night. Very entertaining.

Tokyo Sky Tree, is a broadcasting and observation tower, located in Tokyo. It is the tallest tower in Japan since opening in 2012, and reached its full height of 634 meters in early 2011, making it the tallest tower in the world. Amazing views and we happened to be there for sunset. Another clear day for viewing Mt Fuji, which is a silhouette in the background. At night the tower changes colours.

Senio Temple is a Buddhist temple in Asakusa. It is such a beautiful temple and Asakusa Shrine is there as well. The temple was completed in 645, making it Tokyo’s oldest temple and the most popular in Tokyo. A shopping street of over 200 meters, called Nakamise is outside the main gate.
