Boat side shot of the black marlin caught yesterday with clients. The target species were Spanish mackerel that were on bite with the flat calm conditions. A great day out.

WEATHER models predicting dropping seas and lightening winds for the weekend are good news for fish starved offshore and reef fishos, but it’s doubtful seas will settle enough for small boat passage to distant grounds until Sunday.

This barra was caught with me when the Creek to Coast boys had a day of filming. One of 9 fish caught for the day - two being over 90cm. I love my job!

Mads Grosell, head lure designer Gear came all the way from Denmark and nailed this cracking saltwater Barra on the Savage Manic Prey 115! He’s as excited about this fish as we are about the arrival of Savage lures in BCF stores this October!

Andrew has a few days the second week of the school holidays available to those Dad's looking to spend some time with their kids or as a family. The weather is ideal.

Dr David Sheumack has caught the first marlin for the season in the new boat. It has been a dream of Dave's for many years. This fish was then released.
It was a beautiful day out on Saturday with plenty of Spanish mackerel biting plus a few spotted mackerel. It was a yummy yummy mackerel dinner at our house that night.

Another great day out with Captain Andrew Mead. Thinking it was going to be a tough day on the water with big tides - this what greeted two couples from Mildura, Victoria as the rods were put away for the day. 106cm - with a great jump next to the boat - woohoo! This barra was released to swim another day.

Andrew has had a cracker of a couple of days catching barra. This is one of four today over a metre. Some very happy clients from Ballarat who have fished in the NT for the last five years and have never caught barra like they have in the last two days. The barra whisperer does it again!!!

Mead said they used a Quickcatch Soft Sport Lure to entice at least five solid barra to 90cm.
