As of the 30th of September 2020, The North Queensland Historical Reenactment Society will no longer be utilizing Hut 28. The group will continue in the form of a multi-location living history display group attending both private and public events in Townsville and the region.

The first opening of Hut 28 for 2019 will be on the 17th March displaying the military collections of the members of the Living History group, The North Queensland Historical Reenactment Society.
Open from 10am -1pm. This is a fascinating hands on experience where you will definitely see items and memorabilia you've never seen before.

(NQHRS) The Kennedy Regiment will be Marching in this years Anzac Day parade in townsville and will have Hut 28 open from 9am-2pm (on wednesday the 25th April)
