SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL JETTY - HAVE YOUR SAY

The Local Government Association (LGA) has commissioned Hudson Howells to undertake a Cost Benefit Analysis of South Australian jetties that have been leased to councils by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport.

This project looks at how jetties contribute to the economic prosperity and wellbeing of local communities. The evaluation will focus on the value of activities that are supported by jetties, such as tourism, walking, recreational fishing and swimming, and the work will support LGA advocacy seeking additional funding from State and Federal Government to maintain these important structures.

EMS and NPWS is excited to be snorkelling Tumby Bay tomorrow (16th January) with perfect sea conditions. Our safe and supervised snorkels are open to all ages and abilities. We supply wetsuits, snorkel gear and accredited guides in ticket price subsidised by funding support from Inspiring South Australia and National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia. We have tickets available for 10am, 12noon (citizen science) and 2pm sessions. Tickets are available on our website at www.emsau.org
