We are incredibly sad to share the news that Peter Teakle passed away yesterday morning.

Peter’s commitment to transforming Port Lincoln and the Eyre Peninsula into a premier food and wine destination was evident in everything he did.

Peter’s philanthropy and unwavering support for the wider Port Lincoln community will be remembered and cherished. He leaves an indelible mark on our community, our region and our industry.

Without doubt, Peter’s greatest strength was his ability to bring people together and he genuinely loved the personal and professional relationships he developed across his many endeavours.

Peter was the patriarch of our family and our business. We look forward to continuing his legacy for generations to come.

We will raise a glass to Peter and remember him fondly and proudly.

😍 A new load testing technique applied to Tumby Bay jetty could see it reopen in just a few weeks. 🥳

“We used weight loading for pedestrian whereas DIT normally use a weight loading… more akin to a working jetty,” Tumby Bay Council CEO Rebecca Hayes explained.

🎣 It’s hoped that this new testing technique for pedestrian 🚶‍♀️ weight rather than vehicles 🛻 could be approved for use by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport for other non-commercial jetties.

March 18th, 19th, 20th & 21st
June 11th - 25th which includes the two weekends available 14th & 15th and the 21st & 22nd
If you want to book a few days mid week or a weekend later in the year please message us.

But we do have our other House 29 Gates Farm Stayz that has plenty of spare weekends and mid week dates

We were notified recently that a Queensland couple who stayed at the Beach House captured this sunrise at the Beach House and entered the photo in South Australia road trips competition. The photo of the sunrise from the Beach House has made front cover of the Calendar for 2024
