I often find myself comparing my own achievements based on my age and on how old X was when they did Y or Z.

As if achievement at a younger age was a sign of success.

“She's younger, she clearly has her s**t together.”

“She's way younger than me, she's a natural!”

Currently in my 30s, I feel like it's this odd age where you're either in control of your life or freakin' lost.

Let's stop this - let's stop comparing our unique lives and journeys to each other.

Because when you start comparing, this is when your happiness stops.

I am a strong believer that things ALWAYS happen for a reason. And in its appropriate time.

Trust the process. You're not too old. You’re exactly where you are meant to be.

The winter has been harsher than ever, bringing storm after storm, crazy swells and strong winds.

Surfing has been out of the window unless you're chasing Mavericks with onshore winds... 😳😰

But eh! Spring has sprung!
(even though it hailed and it's 13C in Margaret River today 🥲)

Let’s be patient for a little bit longer, and we will be rewarded with perfect conditions to learn how to surf and bring back the Free Surf on Saturday morning. 💛🏄‍♀️✨

Stay posted and stay positive; we'll get through this. 🤞🙃

🤍 Stormy Weather // Hot Cocoa 🤍

Mama Ocean is still pretty moody this weekend…

So instead of fighting her, how about staying at home and getting real cozy with a cup of hot cocoa? ☕️✨🤤

* 1 cup coconut milk
* 50 g of dark chocolate (or 100% cacao)
* 1 tsp coconut oil
* 1 cinnamon stick
* Pinch of chili
* Pinch of salt

Makes 2 cups to share (or a lot for yourself 😉😝)
