Wow! The Aurora reached us just west of Gin Gin, west of Bundaberg on the Central Coast of Qld tonight.
Taken on the phone and the moon was so bright.
But she’s there 👍
Not as fancy as the southerner’s spectacular show, but we will take this 😍

How have we not been here yet?! Stunning Buderim Falls 😍

Heading back to the High Country 🙌

Enjoyed our little seaside stay and heading back into the rugged mountain country where the fabled Snowy Mountain Men pioneered our country and lived in the most challenging of landscapes.
We will be out of reception for most of the week, maybe finding a signal on a mountain here and there. Or not.
Stay tuned 👍

📍Goongerah Campground

Sometimes we come across a place we just have to share.
Goongerah Campground in Victoria is one we stumbled upon and so happy we did.
A very pretty little campground with great swimming, shade, fire pits, a toilet and lots of wildlife.

📍Forbes NSW
Waking up to a beautiful sunrise was a wonderful way to start the day.
We drove through to Parkes to visit The Dish.
It is enormous and you have to see it to understand the size. Apparently the movie of the same name is good watching.
Putting that movie on the list 👍
We drove through small towns, along dirt roads and through Tumble Weeds to reach a stunning caravan park by the river in Forbes. It is so pretty 😍
Tomorrow will start a week of limited to no reception as we trek through the NSW and Victorian High Country.
Looking forward to it 😊

📍Ballat Golf Club.

What a great start to the trip.
Stopped at the Aratula Bakery for breakfast then Goondiwindi for lunch. All the while watching the storms either side of us.
We stayed at the wonderful . Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere and the best food. Yum! Free camp and loads of space. You can try your hand at golf. Just don’t expect the Greens to look green 😉

✅ Tick!
Pulling Up Pegs has completed our version of
the Eastern Coast of Australia in three separate trips. 👏

From the the lush Tip at Cape York to the wild and rugged Cape Conran in Victoria to beautiful and cold Cockle Creek in Tasmania.

We have experienced so many wonders along the Eastern Coast.
Each of the four states Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania showcased their own unique beaches where they greet the morning sun. 🌞

Definitely recommend seeing Australia’s East Coast working your way top to bottom, bottom to top or from the middle and in smaller trips.
However you get to do it. 👍

The North Coastline is a little tricky given most is inaccessible but we only have a small part left to go.
The South Coastline is in our sights.
The West Coastline we have started and we cannot wait to continue it.

EDIT*Tasmania has been cut off in the photo in posting. Tassie was in the photo.
Love Tassie 😍

Day 5🙌
We had a lovely drive to Eden stopping at Bodalla and Bega.
Bodalla was so charming and quaint, we really enjoyed our stop here😍
We don’t normally stay at traditional Caravan Parks but The Garden of Eden Caravan Park in Eden was delightful.
Extra special was the boardwalk on the lake with elegant Black Swans everywhere.

Favourite spots in Australia… has to be up there!
Day 3 found us at one of our top favourite coastal areas we have seen in Australia.
Jervis Bay NP and Bodorree NP.
In 2019 we had to end our coastal leg of the trip due to the highway being closed to bushfires south from here at Jervis Bay.
Now we can continue where we left off. 👌
Mother Nature hadn’t turned on the azure blue skies and calm waters for Hyams Beach this time, but we did find an equally stunning beach… Murray’s Beach.
So of course we had to go there and we were not disappointed 😍
Again we stayed at the quiet and friendly Bream Beach Holiday Park on the St George Basin where a healthy population of kangaroos call home and wander about the Vans and Cabins.
This area is one destination we would come back to when we head this way again. 😍
