Latest addition to our booklets for sale: "Grant's Channel Bus and Ferry Company" From 1931 to about 1961 George Grant's buses served the people of the Channel as transport evolved from river steamers to roads. He also introduced the first two Bruny Island passenger ferries. This booklet tells his story and covers the other passenger services before, during and after his term. It also tells of the development of roads between Hobart and Kingston and down the Channel. Available from the Channel Museum gift shop for $5, open 10am - 3pm Sunday to Friday.
