Let us know if you are interested in your team visiting & learning about neighbouring regions, we would be happy to connect you to start the conversations. Well done Injune & Charleville VICs, that ghost tour had me on edge at the sound of creaky floors and doors for a time after!

For anyone heading up north …..

A common question potential visitors have is what are the distances between towns in Cape York, where the next fuel might be, Telstra coverage, etc etc.

We thought we’d try and help by creating a (very) rough map of Cape York with major roads/roadhouses/towns and services included.

Hope this helps your planning a little…

If you’d like an electronic copy of this map, please email [email protected]

Well done to the VICs in the Atherton Tablelands 👍

Volunteers from the Atherton, Malanda, Ravenshoe and Yungaburra Visitor Centres and the Herberton Mining Centre met last week for their annual conference. They're pictured here learning about local wildlife from Alan Gillanders.

They also learned about local indigenous cultural heritage, recreation, national parks and produce.

Pop into any of our centres and you will be assisted by a very knowledgeable volunteer 😊

Tucked away in the town's old fuel depot at the Wyandra Post Office, Store & Caravan Park is an old fashioned cinema!

This picture theatre will incite your sense of nostalgia by running old black & white news reels and classic movies 📽

Did you know about this little gem in Wyandra?

How good is this shot of the Allan Tannock Weir flowing over in Cunnamulla 🙌

The Paroo region has had plenty of rainfall over the past couple of weeks, so if you're coming out remember to check the road conditions! If it's flooded, forget it!
