Moderated by the Chair of the GWI's Wellness Tourism Initiative and Founder of Well Traveller, Katherine Droga, together they will uncover the success strategies for the country and current consumer demand in this $439 billion tourism sector.

UNEARTHED SPEAKER: Joep van Agteren

Joep van Agteren is the co-lead of Be Well Co, which focuses on developing new approaches to improve mental health and using research to advocate for targeting wellbeing as an underrated area of importance in the wider mental health system.

Joep studied psychology at Maastricht University and among others has worked for SA Health, a health start-up and now SAHMRI. He has a keen interest in evidence-based intervention development and works across a number of portfolios serving one overarching purpose: to advance the science of wellbeing and resilience and allow communities to thrive.

He was recognized in The InDaily’s 2022 Top 40 under 40 for his entrepreneurial spirit and received the Discovery Award for innovative health research.

We can't wait to hear from Joep at this year's event who will be sharing some insights not to be missed!
