The 16-day Fireside Festival celebrates all the great things about winter in the Yarra Valley. Along with moody skies, enjoy toasty fires and smoky feasts accompanied by wonderful wines of the Yarra Valley and look forward to great culinary experiences. Fabulous events will be hosted by Jayden Ong Winery and Cellar Bar, Oakridge Wines, Punt Road Wines, Four Pillars, Payten and Jones, Rob Dolan Wines, Soumah, Domaine Chandon and Coombe Yarra Valley. A feast of special winter-themed menus of chargrilled, smoked and wood-fired local ingredients.

Warburton Film Festival 2024
The weekend that every film lover looks forward to is coming up very shortly. The 39th Annual Warburton Film Festival will be held on the weekend of 14-16 June.
Eight films will be featured from countries as diverse as Australia, Belgium, UK, Italy, France and Bhutan. These films offer a balance of genres, including drama, comedy and suspense. Opening night documentary is The Last Daughter and the director and subject of the film, Brenda Matthews will be in attendance. April brings two wonderful music events to Warburton. On Wednesday, 3 April is the River Folk Sessions (https://www.theriverfolkfestival.com/sessions) featuring a program spanning the globe. From Australia and Canada is duo Shark and Fox (Emily-Rose Sarkova and Jaron Freeman-Fox) embarking on their first Australian tour. Their music is influenced by their travels through Europe and the Appalachians. Also on the bill is Guanaco Trio, from Argentina. The trio is formed by Laura Urteaga on violin, Benjamin Aedo on guitar and Owen Salome playing bandoneon. Their performance will feature their original compositions and interpretations of both traditional and contemporary Argentine folkloric music.

On Friday, 5 April ECOSS is presenting an evening of chamber/folk music: Where Water Meets. (https://events.humanitix.com/where-water-meets-wesburn) The trio’s composing team of Emily Sheppard (violin/viola/vox) and Yyan Ng (guitar, shakuhachi and vox) will present an evening of music inspired by some of Tasmania’s most beautiful and untouched places.

Here we are in October, time to plan a visit to Shed Fest on Saturday and Sunday, 14 and 15 October. Shed Fest is organised by the Yarra Valley Smaller Wineries and gives an opportunity to visit and experience the secrets and delights of the smaller wineries of the Yarra Valley. Most are family-owned and run and offer a different experience to the larger, more corporate wineries. Eleven wineries are participating. Purchase your ticket online, or at the gate and enjoy free wine tastings, and a souvenir tasting glass you can keep. Each winery is offering exciting dishes to complement their wines. Don't miss out. You can even take your doggo. Davy wouldn't miss it.

A reminder that Warburton's 38th Annual Film Festival is coming up 16-18 June. Eight films from a range of genres are featured from Iceland, Australia, France, Bosnia, Tunisia and USA. And if travelling to Warburton for the festival, Bed and Bark is available for your stay on 17 and 18 June.

Bed and Bark is a pet-friendly holiday rental. We are located in Warburton, on the eastern fringe of the Yarra Valley, Victoria Australia. We created Bed and Bark when we found that travelling with Davy, the Labradoodle had its challenges. So-called pet-friendly accommodation providers had all manner of restrictions on Davy. So we have designed a genuinely pet-friendly holiday destination. There are no restrictions. Your beloved 4-legged doggo has access all areas. The interior of the house features rugs and vinyl-plank flooring which can be easily cleaned should there be any acccidents. But you don't need to bring a pet to enjoy the beautifully appointed interior, walls adorned with original art works, fully-equipped kitchen including Miele induction cooktop. The garden features several terraced seating areas, great places to relax and enjoy the mountain views. What are you waiting for ...
