Dangerous tree causes delay to Rivertubing season

- relying on Melbourne Water and Parks Victoria (whom we pay for the river useage) to remove the danger ahead of summer (not just for us but especially for unsupervised kids who frequent this part of the river).

Hi folks, unfortunately a huge tree has fallen and is blocking a critical part of the river. Whilst it might be possible to exit the river and re-enter past the tree a risk assessment reveals that is too dangerous.

If a person were take an incorrect line on approach there is a section of the tree suspended above the river with a current able to pull a person under the trunk.

Whilst it’s disappointing for many (we’ve cancelled all bookings for December and refunded all payments) SAFETY must come first and no revenue for us is worth the risk to you 🙏

Once authorities have removed the dangerous tree we will be able to commence Rivertubing and we’ll advertise accordingly 👌

Weather Warnings

The forecast bad weather is likely to arrive later in the afternoon today (some regular old rain looks like it will come earlier).

As a precaution ALL sessions after 11am have been cancelled today.

When we do this folks can either choose another time or get a full refund.

The rain will impact the river over the coming days and we inspect regularly to assess when to recommence 100% safely 👌
