*32% less wheelchair taxis since pre pandemic levels

*Australian’s lowest ‘pickup bonus’ with promised 100% increase august 2023, still not implemented

*purchase cost of WAT vehicle pre pandemic has doubled to up to $110,000 for new vehicle.

*normal taxis costs in fuel lowering from new (hybrid/EV) none for WAT

*plate costs for normal taxis dropping to same as WAT means no incentive to put on WAT vehicles.

Pauline David had to sleep in her wheelchair after an accessible taxi failed to arrive to take her home. She's one of many people with a disability struggling to maintain independence as the number of accessible cabs in NSW declines.
