Fire restrictions start Jan 10

The Fire Danger Period (FDP) will start in Bass Coast, Baw Baw and South Gippsland Shires (District 9's area) on January 10.
The Fire Danger Period is when CFA restricts the use of fire in the community. This is to help prevent fires from starting.
Once the Fire Danger Period has been declared, fire restrictions come into force. This means you cannot light a fire in the open air unless you have a permit or comply with certain requirements.
If you don't obtain a permit, you could be breaking the law and may be prosecuted.

No I know what we suffer from - Werifesteria

Sometimes purported to be an old English word, "werifesteria" seems to have actually been invented in 2014 (origin unknown).

It has since gained some acceptance online, no doubt by those who appreciate the emotions that it evokes.

Year 12 sitting an online SAC in our home office tomorrow, Yr 8 being told to email her teachers that she won’t be in remote learning whilst her sister is doing her SAC in case the internet crashes, rush to get fresh ink for printer so Yr 12 can print the SAC tomorrow....admin trainee now working remotely like our other staff...please be nice to us as we will be using this ‘quiet’ time to get your project through but might be a little distracted on school days especially as we have three days of online SACs. Office dog already in his element....that’s the black log in front of the fire.
