Here at the Westbury H**p House we conduct tours of our H**pcrete home on the fourth Sunday of each month. In July we had an enthusiastic group of twenty organic gardeners from the North West Coast of Tassie come and join us for a tour and some afternoon tea ๐ ๐ ๐
We guided people around the gardens along with the exterior and then the interior of the house pointing out the reasons why we built in h**pcrete, what finishes we used in the build, what we have done to attract native birds to the gardens, the veggie garden, design features inside the house and much more.
We had many, many questions on a whole range of subjects that were asked including;
Why h**pcrete?
What makes a sustainable home?
The blower door tests
What plant is that?
How to make use of recycled materials?
What is render and why use it?
How cool and warm does the house get?
I am sure that there were many others as well!!
Contact was made with this group via the Westbury H**p House stall at the North West Ecofest Tasmania which is held near Ulverstone every year.
If you are part of a group that might like to come and take a tour of a sustainable h**pcrete home then please get in touch through our website www.diyeco.com.au We can set a time and day that best suits your group ๐งโโ๏ธ๐ง๐งโโ๏ธ๐งโโ๏ธ๐ง๐งโโ๏ธ๐ง๐งโโ๏ธ
