ated right at the foot of the famous 199 Steps leading up to St. Mary’s Church and the magnificent jewel that is Whitby Abbey, a site that has been inspiring visitors, artists and writers for over 1500 years and probably most famously as featured in Bram Stoker’s Gothic Horror novel Dracula with the black dog escaping up the steps from the shipwrecked Demeter on Tate Hill Sands. Ideally located for exploring Whitby’s historic east side, Kiln Cottage is situated in Kiln Yard, one of Whitby’s famous yards off Church Street and close to the Market Place and it’s thriving restaurants, pubs, cafes and shopping experience, as well as Tate Hill Sands and Fortune’s Famous Kipper Shop on Henrietta Street. Open the gate and walk through the arch into a very quiet secluded oasis that is Kiln Yard, and away from the hustle and bustle of old Whitby’s ancient cobbled Church Street to the stunning Kiln Cottage. Kiln Cottage Whitby is a delightful Grade II listed building and was originally separate two cottages dating back to 17th century, but today this truly is old meets new with modern contemporary self catering accommodation throughout for 4 people...and we are dog friendly too! (Please note Kiln Cottage Whitby is not suitable for families with infants or toddlers)

So, our final fabulous Christmas/New Year Guests have departed and thank you so much for choosing our cottages to celebrate the festive season in.
We look forward to welcoming them, returning and new guests back to Kiln Cottage and Quincey Cottage soon.
A long day, deep cleans and just home to a relaxing evening with fizz awaits.
Before leaving for home, Himself took an image of a beautiful deserted, still decorated Sandgate.
Happy New Year folks!

Hello!
Just a note to say you can check availability, prices and book through our agents cottages.com, but please be aware there is a problem with their feefo ratings system that is currently not showing our guest reviews.
It has affected quite a number of properties and they are working to fix this, but in the interim feel free to scroll through this page and you'll find them!
Nothing to hide, all good, and all fab reviews from genuine guests we've had the pleasure to host!
Quincey Cottage Whitby is a beautifully presented 1750s fisherman’s cottage, nestled down a peaceful alleyway in the heart of Whitby’s characterful old town.
