Just a reminder of parking options. We use the Captain Cooks Crescent option frequently. It works well for us. Couple of minutes walk and we can come and go as we please for the duration of our stay.
We have the contact details. If you want to explore this option for your stay, just drop us a message.
Happy Sunday everyone x
Let's talk parking in Whitby 😬
A lot of cottages in Whitby do not come with parking because of course in ye olden days they didn't have cars. Harbour Mist has character and location and there are plenty of parking options to make parking stress free.
We're lucky with our location because on arrival we pull up briefly outside the cottage and drop all the luggage. Then we park...
🚗 Parking on the main road outside the cottage - don't go too far down towards the bridge though as the parking rules change so be aware of signage
🚗Church street car park - near the bridge - 5 min walk along Church street - currently £9 for 24 hours - can not advance book
🚗Abbey headland car park - up near the Abbey - 10 min walk up hill - currently £9 for 24 hours - can not advance book
🚗Parkonmydrive.com - Book in advance! - park on private driveway which is located at Captain Cook Crescent - 3 -4 min walk - there is a cut through from Green Lane - about £5 per day - we think this is the best option if available
🚗Sainsbury's store - Station Road - About a 10 min walk downhill and a 15 - 20 min walk up hill - Book in advance - generally lots of availability but further out - good if you know you are not going to need to use your car while you are visiting. https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/locations/show/4294938156
Hope this helps. Happy holiday's 😊
