NCL Bliss - 5 night Mexican Cruise
Check in
What a beeeze. Caught the NCL bus down from LA airport . Approx 30min drive . Very easy and straightforward
Arrived at terminal , drop your bags (don’t forget to tip the porter if you want to see your bag 😂) and then lined up. Maybe 10-15 min and was at check in. On to the ship to find the cabin. Then walked around to check it out.
Bag arrived about hour later. Fantastic
For a ship this size they certainly well organised
Cabin
Balcony cabin. Good size . Pretty much standard to other cruise lines, but the bathroom is much bigger
No shower curtain. Princess cruises are you reading this…
Glass door for shower and quite large area. Good placement of sink and toilet
Balcony had standard 2 x chairs and small table
The only thing I didn’t like was the location of the wardrobe. Right next to bed . Tight squeeze everytime you wanted clothes but to get bigger bathroom space , I’m ok with it
Restaurant / Bars
They are everywhere . Can’t believe the amount of complimentary eating options and the different types of bars. Plus a few paid specialty restaurants as well
Even hamburgers in the Diner were free . PO cruises take note…
A first for me was seeing bars on the outside promenade deck . Called the Waterfront it’s attached to the inside bar and they have various seating options and even extra bars outside. Great space away from the crowds . Located both sides of the ship
Pools
Lots of pools. Large central pool area for adults only with seperate kids pool close by with water play area
Water slides that go out of the side of the ship
Go karts
Large outdoor track with electric carts. Unbelievable . (Haven’t tried yet but will be later. Looks fun)
All in all so far, very impressed. Service has been good, food good, drinks great (NCL free at sea with drinks, wifi , shore tour credit plus speciality dining credit)
I’ll do the various entertainment options in next post
