If you visit Little Park in Shellharbour Village, you'll notice that a large area around the fig tree has been fenced off. This area includes the rotunda, playground and a section of the footpath. This is because two large branches fell from the tree and we need to make sure the tree doesn't pose an ongoing safety risk. While we know that this area is currently unsightly, maintenance work within the fenced off area is restricted while a full assessment is being completed. This assessment will consider potential risk and safety issues, heritage and expert arborist advice. Please stay well away from the fenced area while this happens. Thank you for your patience during this time.
