Join us next weekend to learn about the wonderful diversity of birds found in Royal National Park!

The morning will be spent walking along Lady Carrington Drive - an excellent walking trail in Royal National Park that takes in drier woodland, rainforest and riparian habitats.

As we move through the forest, we’ll run through tips to quickly ID a bird, as well as discussing aspects of their ecology and importance in the landscape - all at a relaxed and enjoyable pace 🌱

These workshops are aimed at anyone with an interest in birds, no matter what level of expertise 🦜
This workshop will explore some stunning rainforest along the Illawarra Escarpment and we’ll discuss the wonderful birds, plants and other wildlife that can be found here 🌱

We had a great time birding with some UOW students around Mount Keira on Saturday!

Plenty of birds seen with Bassian Thrush, Wedge-tailed Eagle and Superb Lyrebird being a few of the highlights. An Antechinus was seen well and was surely the non-bird highlight of the day! 🌳

We’ll be adding more Birding for Beginners workshops soon, along with other nature walks and extended tours.

What a season! Suboptimal weather resulted in a shorter than expected season,although hugely productive throughout April 🌲

With no rain for the past 6 weeks or so and nothing much on the forecast, we have wrapped up our mushroom workshops for 2021.

Don’t despair! 🍄 We’ll be back next Autumn with more of our Wild Mushroom Workshops.

For the rest of 2021, it’ll be all about the birds and other animals with a series of introductory birding workshops and a few longer tours thrown in the mix.

A good news story out of Uganda • this Mongalla Gazelle seen in Kidepo Valley National Park was the first recorded in the country 🇺🇬

Fairly abundant in South Sudan, this roaming individual is a good sign that conservation efforts in the region are working to keep wildlife safe and provide effective migration corridors.
