Terms and Conditions
To ensure that every participant receives the maximum benefit from our program and services at our center please take the time to read through the following ‘Learn to Swim’ terms and

conditions relevant to Nippers 2 Flippers “Safe Start Swim School”. General Conditions

All participants must abide by the general terms and conditions of the Swim School Program. Management reserves the right to refuse entry, suspend or cancel a membership without refund. Every effort will be made to adhere to the timetable, however, Nippers 2 Flippers reserves the right to change and alter classes as necessary. Payment of Fees

Payment of swim school lessons is for the full term unless other arrangements have been authorized by Swim School Management. All fees must be paid within 14 day of invoice date, and failure to do so will result in your position being given to another member. Please note, we no longer offer Bank Transfer. Missed Lessons

To minimize disruption, we offer two make-up lessons per term. This is unable to be rolled over to the following term.If a make-up lesson is missed you are not permitted to re book another make-up. The center must be notified at least 24 hours prior to lesson if your child will not be attending their lesson. Assessments

Assessments are ongoing as children develop at their own pace. However, we endeavor to generally conduct assessments during week 3 and week 8. Supervision

Parents are not permitted to leave children unsupervised at any time. Baby Levels

We request that children up to the age of 3 wear both a Swim Nappy and a reusable “Happy Nappy”, which can be purchased from Reception. Privacy

The Center will use your personal information only for the purpose of registering and administering.

Some very simple steps to help keep your kids safe this swimming season.

Today we are sharing our new report, which reinforces the key steps for keeping children safe in and around the water.

The 10-year national study on child drowning deaths in Australia reinforces the importance of active supervision and creating barriers to prevent young children from accessing water.

The report paints a stark picture of the factors that led to a fatal child drowning:
🔹 83% of the children were not being directly supervised by an adult
🔹 91% occurred in a residential backyard pool
🔹 38% of the swimming pool fences were faulty, not maintained or not compliant
🔹 33% involved a child accessing the pool through a propped open gate

Our Keep Watch campaign urges all parents and carers to follow these four actions to keep children safe around water:
Supervise, Restrict, Teach, Respond.

Navigating First Lesson Tears:
It’s quite common for young children to cry during their first swimming lesson, and it may take 4 to 6 weeks for them to fully settle in. But don’t worry—our teachers are trained to handle these situations with care, using a variety of tools, props, and techniques to help your child feel comfortable and enjoy their lessons as quickly as possible.
Our Turtle class, with only 3 children per group, creates a close-knit environment that fosters trust between your child and their teacher.
As a parent, it’s important to stay calm and positive. Your child will pick up on your emotions, so try to avoid stepping in or overriding the teacher. This could unintentionally signal to your child that you lack confidence in the teacher. Rest assured, all of our instructors are experienced and qualified to manage and comfort crying children.

We are super excited to announce that we are now opening new Water Play sessions for children aged 4 months - 5 years of age! These sessions will be 30 mins and available twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 1130am. $10 per child. These sessions will be unsupervised free play, you get the use of our warm 34 pool and our pool toys. * Please note that a parent is required to be in the water with their child.
