We often get asked what our favourite hikes are? And that is such a hard question to answer.

They are all different, the scenery, the amazing women, the weather, the conversations, the language. Oh we could go on.

But perhaps the BEST ones are those where you can truly appreciate where you are - away from the crowds, just you and the world, soaking the scenery and the serenity.

And most importantly, knowing you have done the training. And that where you sit or stand right now, is a result of commitment and consistency. And places where very few people get to go.

YES - Hiking gets you to special places indeed.

And just like that, there are our amazing C.R.E.W atop Mt Sonder in the Northern Territory for sunrise, on our 100km AdventureReady Larapinta Trail Fitness Adventure.

With the distance ticking over the 100km on this early (think 2am get up) hike, what an achievement for all of them. That feeling at the top, as you wait for the sun to eventually come up is a moment of AWE. It's there you realise how big Australia really is, and how big your dreams can be too!

Over the course of the past 7 days, they've climbed mountains, rock hopped through gorges, waded through rivers and even swam in icy waters. It's been hot in the day and chilly at night - where the warmth of the campfire provides the perfect opportunity to reminisce.

There's so much to share - stories, photos, moments. We are sure when they are back to being "connected" we will hear more. So stay tuned.

In the meantime, cheer them on. Hiking Mt Sonder in the dark is not an easy task, but one that is so worthwhile.

It’s a few days in on our 100km AdventureReady Larapinta Trail Fitness Adventure and the team are having a ball.

With crispy cool nights, big skies and glorious days, the sights and scenes are alive!! And how gorgeous does it look?

With perfect hiking weather, they’ve managed to find some high points on the trail to send these fabulous pictures through.

Today marked the third and final session in our Welcome to Hiking Bundle here in Brisbane! 👣🌿

Over three weeks, we’ve built confidence and knowledge, learning hiking skills, tips, nutrition and hydration, plus chatting all things gear and equipment.

We’ve hiked hills, tackled stairs and descents, and walked circuits. And now… this fabulous crew is officially AdventureReady! 💪

This bundle is the perfect introduction to hiking and to Women’s Fitness Adventures- a supportive place to make new friends, challenge yourself, and do it all safely (and enjoyably!).

From all corners of the country to the heart of the outback!

Our amazing CREW are about to head off to Alice Springs, ready to take on the iconic Larapinta Trail – one of Australia’s most breathtaking hikes.

Our pic is of some of the team leaving from Brisbane where they will meet the other CREW Members, coming in from all over Australia.

As part of our 100km AdventureReady Series, they’ve spent months training, preparing, and building confidence – and now it’s time to put it all into action.

There’s a mix of nerves and excitement (and a few butterflies!), but mostly a huge sense of achievement already – just getting to the start line is a win in itself.

Friday June 13th was the coldest morning in Brisbane so far this year and whilst most people were still snuggled in bed we were making our way out to Mt Edwards in the Scenic Rim.

The air was crisp and the frost was covering the fields - it was a perfect day. We hiked to the summit where we had our morning tea and then made our way back to the bottom of the mountain for a picnic lunch.

Mt Edwards is the perfect location to practice hiking our skills, have great conversations and enjoy a summit at the same time.

About three times a year we run a programme called the Welcome to Hiking Bundle.

Held in Brisbane over 3 consecutive Saturday mornings, it’s a great introduction to hiking - skills, gear, fitness and hiking.

It was a wonderful second week session. There were stairs, inclines and declines plus learning about the importance of correct fitting backpacks to staying hydrated on the trail. It was also an opportunity for building friendships and celebrating the Women’s Fitness Adventures community.

Our next Welcome to Hiking Bundle in Brisbane starts in July. Or if you are in Newcastle or Greater Sydney area, them consider our Hiking Skills workshop in August.
