A lot of long time Allusion followers/lovers will remember the gorgeous old table that was once where our fire pit is.
Unfortunately it had had its day but we were able to repurpose the old sleeper tops for gardens.

We do love this space and our guests staying at the cellar door house love the fire pit.
Perfect for kiddos with mellows and parents with wine… 🔥🍷

Was so lovely to host Sue and her gorgeous family to celebrate a special birthday.
The Grandies had a great time helping us look after our hand fed lambs, playing with the new little rabbits and Guinea pigs and hanging in chicken town!
Thanks for visiting us, was so lovely to meet you all- we look forward to next time!

We are currently feeding a few little lambs and there’s always loads of work to do in chicken town!
Each unit has an outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows and enjoy a hot choccie on these chilli nights!

We are incredibly excited to host our first workshop with the super cool Sofie from at our Old Cellar Door House.

Come make a pair of sweary (or non sweary) mugs, eat some beautiful food, drink fabulous wine and chat around the fire pit with us!

Your afternoon will consist of shaping clay with your hands, sculpting and pinching a lump of mud into two mugs that are as unique as you are!

We will then break for some delicious food and wine (non alcoholic options available).

You will then add handles to your mugs, learning to score, slip, and coil to create strong joins.

Finally, you’ll add the finishing touches to your mugs, stamping sweary and subversive statements (or nice things if you want to) into the surface of your creation. Finaihing with painting and decorating your mugs using vibrant underglazes!

We will glaze your mugs with clear glaze and fire them ready for you to collect 4-6 weeks later.

Your finished mugs will be food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.

$100pp all inclusive of materials and afternoon tea.
Sunday 28th July 2pm-5pm.

We have held and hosted some absolutely gorgeous private workshops on the farm over the past few years including paint and sip, yoga, wellness workshops, pottery, grazing platters, food foraging and dumpling making!

We have just opened our bookings for the remainder of this year for our Old Cellar Door House for either daily or overnight workshops or retreats.

We can collaborate on a few different levels and provide planning support, catering and help setting up or simply just the space.

We were so lucky to have little Timothy, Matis and their mum and dad Russ and Ingrid visiting us from France for a few weeks.

This was our first family stay and we exchanged accommodation for some help around the farm.
We got all of our veggie gardens dug up, weeded and replanted and they were such a huge help with the animals and general jobs!
Such a wonderful way for families to explore our beautiful area and us to have some helping hands!

We really do hope our paths cross again- Thank you for the beautiful last night family dinner together, wine around the fire pit, wonderful conversation and education and we totally look forward to hosting more guests this way!

A few weeks ago we hosted the absolutely gorgeous folks from for a luncheon and wine tasting at the farm.

Loads of beautiful local produce and so much from our own veggie garden and our girls (aka the royal hens!).

Millie was the perfect host and we can’t wait to have these beautiful people back!

Sometimes being a duck grandma means you need to babysit for a few days while Mumma duck finishes her job (usually Felicity is a very good mum but she decided to collect a heap of random chicken and duck eggs so everyone is hatching at random stages - it’s quite confusing!).
These two little gorgeous balls of fluff will head up to the nursery with their chicken siblings for a little while until they are all big enough to hang with mum and dad again

Fresh bushtucker scones for our guest arriving today!

I love these super simple spiced scones using lemonade!
Strawberry gum is one of my most favourite native bush herbs and we’ve teamed them up with some housemade butter from cream with local wattle seed!

Bush spices are incredible and there is an ‘alternate’ for basically every herb and spice we regularly use. You can find an amazing selection at one of our locals - A Little Spice and And All Things Nice.

Strawberry Gum Scones
3 1/2 self raising flour
1 cup cream
1 cup lemonade
2 tsp strawberry gum

* Crank oven up to 200c�
* Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix gently until just combined- don’t over mix or your scones will be rocks!�
* Turn out onto a floured surface and gently bring the dough together.

* Use anything around 6cm to cut rounds. I use an old glass! Make sure you press straight up and down- don’t twist as then they fall when cooking.�
* Avoid touching the sides, move onto tray snuggling them in close but not touching.�
* Brush the tops with milk�
* Bake for 15 minutes�
* Serve with wattleseed butter and fresh jam!

These two always seem to get broody together and share their eggs and space very harmoniously!

We recently had some beautiful guests stay with us and my heart nearly burst open because we were able to create a special dinner for them using everything from our farm!

Homegrown lamb- slow roasted in chicken broth, garlic, Cab Sav and herbs, stuffed golden squash (recipe attached!), roast potatoes, maple carrot, quinoa & cashew cheese and rocket and feta salad.

SUPER SIMPLE STUFFED GOLDEN SQUASH

Cooked brown rice
Diced Capsicum
Diced Tomatoes
Diced Red onion
Lemon zest & juice
Parsley, mint & coriander
Grated cheese (one of our guests were vegan so we used mozzarella)

- Pour a wine & turn on desired tunes
- Hollow out squash (this will work with pumpkin, squash, zucchini, eggplant and capsicum!).
- Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 10 mins in a hot oven
- Top up your wine and have a little dance while cleaning up from dicing all the garden veg… (trust us, this makes everything taste better and much easier to clean up…)
- Mix all other ingredients together leaving a little of the grated cheese to top
- Fill squash, another good splash of olive oil, whatever white wine your drinking and sprinkle with cheese. Pop back in the oven for 15 mins or until tops are golden!

Note- There are no rules with quantities in this recipe. You can use as little or as much of whatever ingredients you love the most, whatever you’ve grown or whatever you can get your hands on!

Weird fact, we have wild potatoes growing everywhere on the farm! We find them in super random spots and wonder how the hell they got there!

Does anyone remember when the potato truck rolled at the bottom of yank hill? I wonder if there’s any connection…

Just another days offering from our happy girls!

A lot of our free range girls are old rescue hens that live out their best lives free ranging around our farm.
There is no expectation put on them from us, but so much gratitude when they have a day like this!

We love them foraging around, making fertiliser for our flower farm, eating bugs and doing all things chook chook!
They still come running like madmen when they hear the grain bin open, a sad psychological trait from being locked in cages not much bigger than their bodies.
