Our Story

Welcome to our Yarrawonga holiday house which is available for rent all year round. After holidaying here since the 1970's and renting other people’s houses we decided to build a luxurious feeling holiday house where you didn’t have to compromise on your holiday experience.

In 2016, we rented a house in the Silverwoods Estate and during one of our evening walks we walked inside a house which was being built by local builders Kennedy Builders. We loved what we saw and started exploring the possibility of creating a special holiday place. We visited Tom in the sales office and found ‘our’ block overlooking the golf course. We looked at a range of builders and couldn’t go past Kennedy’s.

We designed our house on the back of a piece of paper. Given that we paid a premium to be on the golf course, we designed the entire house to maximise the interrupted views of the 15th fairway, 16th green and 17th tee. The kitchen & family rooms were designed to be the heart of the house. With floor to ceiling glass sliding doors, the view extends across the 15th fairway, over to the 16th green and 17th tee. It is connected to the alfresco where we spend most of our time with friends & family. There is large table with comfortable chairs, a Ziegler & Brown BBQ & a small bar fridge. If you stay during winter there is a fireplace to sit and relax in front of.

The Master Suite is at the back of the house and a large glass window means we wake up to the sunrise over the golf course every day. We were careful to include a long garage so that a boat could fit in without having to remove the platform and that it was easy to get out to the clothes line. To ensure that there was plenty of space and privacy for guests, bedrooms 2 and 3 were also given their own walk-in-robes and ensuites. A media room has comfortable leather recliners and is a great place to catch up on the latest Netflix series. If you need to catch up on work or stay connected there is a study with desk, computer screen & scanner. WiFi is available for all guests. There is a huge laundry with a drying cupboard which is great for wet golf gear.
