You can help send a message to the NSW Government to stop its unfair, excessive and surprise move to increase boating fees by as much as 88%.

The increases span fees for all boat (including PWC) licences, registrations and moorings.

Beards for Babes, Supporting Little Miracles!
This year LWY is supporting the life saving efforts of the Mater Foundation Little Miracles.
The birth of a child is one of the most happiest moments in anyone’s life, but when a premature birth happens, it can turn into one of the most stressful times. Thanks to life saving equipment these little miracles are given the best chance of life.
Some of our staff have been growing beards to raise money to purchase a specialised piece of equipment to help save premature babies lives!
With two weeks to go, we are half way to reaching our goal. Please help us get there by making a small donation to

Every year Lightwave Yachts supports a fundraising cause, acknowledging our contribution to community and the importance of making a difference.
Family is a very important value to our team and our Company. Our family ethos extends to our Lightwave owners and customers. So this year, we have chosen a cause close to our hearts.
In 2023, Lightwave Yachts is supporting premature born babies to have the best possible start to life. Our goal is to raise enough money to support the purchase of a Neopuff ($2000). A neopuff is the safest and most effective device to ensure a newborn baby may be resuscitated, as it uses positive pressure ventilation.
Please support this great cause by sponsoring a beard. Our Beard for Babes champions will be growing their beards until June 30 (donations are tax deductible).

Marine Academy Open Day.
Tuesday 30th May, 4.30pm Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard

The Boating Industry Academy was developed specifically for high school students interested in a career in the boating and marine industries. Young people in Years 10 to 12 are able to continue their schooling with the Australian Industry Trade College and start their school-based apprenticeship or traineeship with some of the best employers the Southern Hemisphere has got to offer.

Lightwave Yachts is proud to support this program and have been very impressed at the calibre of young people already involved. The Academy is currently enrolling for their next intake – July 2023. If you’re keen to learn more, register for the next Boating Careers Open Day on 30th May at 4.30pm.

Lightwave Yachts is a key provider of this amazing opportunity for young people. With a select group of local Marine businesses, together with the Australian Industry Trade College, we have created an Australian first Boating Industry Academy.

The Academy is for Year 10 & Year 11 school students wishing to pursue a career in the boating and marine industry, from boat building, cabinet maker, engineering, electrical & many other trades.

Please share with friends and family, if you know a young person who loves boating & being out on the water. They can get an apprenticeship while studying for their Senior Schooling Certificate of Education (QCS).
