The two Caribbean islands you should consider visiting in December are the islands of Aruba and Curaçao. There are many reasons Aruba and Curaçao should be on everyone’s December itinerary, especially those who are visiting the Caribbean islands.

But the overarching reason why a December trip to the two Caribbean islands will be delightfully enjoyable is the weather. Here’s the truth. The Caribbean islands have a tropical climate. What this means is that, to a large extent, the region will be warm, sometimes even hot, all year round. Still, there are slight variations depending on a specific island's location and elevation, among other factors.

One of the reasons Aruba and Curaçao will be warmer in December than many other Caribbean islands is that they are far more on the southern side. Typically, Caribbean weather, especially in the winter months—including December—tends to be cooler in the northern regions of the Caribbean islands and warmer in the southern regions of the Caribbean islands.

This should not come as a complete surprise. The more one goes to the south, the closer he gets to the equator. Hence, the equatorial climate, with its all-year warmth and all-year sun, is definitely going to be a distinctive feature.

Interesting facts about :

1) Everyone native Aruban speaks four languages; English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento. Dutch and Papiamento are the official languages of Aruba.

2) The origin of Papiamento is still a bit of a mystery. However, Arubans say that it was developed from Portugeuse-African pidgin which was used as the language for communication between slaves and slave traders. There are also some Dutch and Spanish influences.

3) In most schools in Aruba children have all their lessons in Dutch. They can only speak Papiamento during the Papiamento class.

4) Aruba is a former Dutch colony. It is now its own country. However, Aruba is still part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

5) Aruba is NOT in Hurricane Alley, which means there’s no BAD time to visit Aruba.

Welcome to Casey's Casa Al Mare, A peaceful neighbourhood located in Opal Noord. A short walk to the beaches or a few minutes drive to your Beach of choice - Arashi, Malmok, Boca Catalina, Hadicurari, Palm or Eagle.

We welcome you to our home to enjoy all we have to offer. Our home accommodates 8 people with 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms with king beds and 1 bedroom with a queen) and a queen pull out couch.

Full gourmet kitchen with all the requirements any home chef would require.

Linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided.

Each bathroom offers shampoo, conditioner, body soap and hairdryer for your use during your stay.

We also offer home gym equipment including barbells (5-20 pounds), yoga mats and tension bands.

A variety of family games are available at your leisure which include foosball, pac-man arcade, corn hole and variety of board games .

Mid week cleaning available.
