You will discover a cave with ancient petroglyphs left by the Arawak people, local fauna and flora, sand dunes, and a hidden natural pool! There is only one departure for this afternoon excursion. If your cruise ship arrives early, please check our morning version - Aruba North Coast and Arikok Park UTV Morning Adventure Excursion. You will meet your guide inside your Aruba cruise pier. Together you will board your comfortable transportation to the UTV excursion base camp, a quick 10-15 minutes ride away. After a safety briefing on the UTV's you will begin your adventure shore excursion. The UTVs (utility task vehicle) are easy to drive; they are like a golf cart with gas and brake pedals and a regular steering wheel. They are fully automatic. The pricing is for the entire vehicle - you decide if you want to drive in the UTV alone or have a friend/family ride with you. Driving duties can be switched off. Put your UTV to some off-roading fun as you enter the Arikok National Park. This is where your real adventure begins. Indigenous fauna such as Aruban Rattlesnakes, Prikishi (parakeet), Whiptail Lizard and Burring Owl are possible to spot in the unique land formations made from limestone, lava, quartz and diorite. Your first stop will be the Fontein Cave, near Boca Prins. Colorful Stalactites and stalagmites of all shapes and sizes are seen in this limestone cave. The cave is 4 meters (13 feet) high and extends 50 meters (160 feet). Keep your eyes open for the Long Tongued Bats that make their homes nestled in holes of the cave. The Arawak Indians used to perform ceremonies and tribal rituals inside this cave, evidence of which can be noted by the drawings on the walls. Guests will receive bottled water and a granola bar. Continuing through the park your next UTV shore excursion stop is at Aruba's largest sand dunes, Boca Prins. Stop for a while and play in the sand here on the beautiful Northern coast of Aruba. Jump back on your UTV's to head to the last stop. One of Aruba's most popular attractions, the Natural Pool or "conchi". Located on the windward coast, this hidden pool is surrounded by some of Aruba's most rugged terrain. Depending on the weather, you will have the opportunity to dive/jump from the rock cliffs into the ocean water. After your refreshing dip, you will off road all the way back to the starting point of the excursion. Here, you will again board the transportation provided and be brought back to your Aruba cruise ship pier.
