The Gray Kingbird, locally known as Pimpiri, generally captures flying insects mid-air from a high perch, often a branch or power line. In our wetlands I frequently see these flycatchers taking insects from the water surface.
Not often you see them catching larger lizards, supposedly only when they have hatchlings.
This Aruba Whiptail lizard was killed by repeated blows on a branch before feeding it to its offspring.
