The AA - EVP has untold thousands of members in the US and many foreign countries.
Many EVP recordings are connected to traumatic events in the history of places, spaces and locations.●~

These sounds are infrequent and unpredictable. Mysterious Footsteps are not the only ghostly sounds to be heard in the old House in PrinsenStraat, San Nicolas.
The Original Owner of the house has not returned even in spirit form since her death, "...but we have music coming the garage when no one is home. Piano and violin music and the sound of a music box. Sometimes you hear the sound of a billiard game being played.
The last EVP recording allowed at the undisclosed location, was made on August 11th, 2016. Such billiard games and musical gatherings have not been played there since the 1930's."
That recording was made by a Blogger from Boston (who wishes to remain Anon), a few weeks before Halloween on an assignment her editor was persistent and challenging about.
"...just go down to Aruba, meet this Tour Guide, go with your recorder and see if there is something there that perhaps should not be there."
She took the challenge and left on her recorder the whole time they were at this undisclosed haunted location.
Giovanni gave his fascinating Tour, told her many Ghost stories, and she took the last flight back returning to her Boston office ready to write a "typical" Halloween story.
Eleven Minutes into the recording,
She could tell the story was not typical anymore.
"There was a long stretch of silence, the sound of shifting chairs, and a haunting piece of violin music began playing for exactly 11 seconds, before you hear a clearly articulated exchange between two voices go: ' shall we play on?' And another respond 'stay...', and another stretch of silence where a conversation should be. I called back my editor changed and shaken. All my bravado was gone."
Back in 2011, I had invited a small crew of Researchers from the U.K. and Scotland to visit and contribute their own independent and objective research into the undisclosed location in San Nicolas.
They claimed to not having managed to capture or experience any form of phenomena, regardless of the high tech gear they were packing.
A few years went by, when I got a small box with a note from the U.K.
In the box were some stones that were from the undisclosed location in San Nicolas. In the note, one of the researchers wrote, "...things were happening in our homes, our hairs were standing on end anywhere we tried storing and placing them ever since we took them(against your clear advice)from the property. We are all sorry and terrified and you must take them back to the property. ..It Is one of the most haunted locations in the western hemisphere we have visited. We do not advise public disclosure of Location."
The one night I left the stones at home,
A younger brother and his (then) lady friend claimed to have seen a Ghostly Lady of Smoke descend from the ceiling and hover above them in Bed.
I said a Prayer.
Took the stones back.
And locked the X-File Away.
