Yesterday we left Baku and Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 for a week in Dubai.

Let’s start by visiting Burj Khalifa stands at 828 meters (2716.5 feet) tall, soaring over . It’s three times as tall as the Tour Eiffel and nearly twice as tall as the Empire State Building . Laid end to end, its pieces stretch over a quarter of the way around the world 🤩

Heydar Aliyev Center is considered as is one of the main attractions for tourists and has also become a symbol of modern Azerbaijan and modern Baku.

Zaha Hadid, the author of the building’s design, is a worldwide recognized architect and the winner of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize and Design of the Year award for her design of Heydar Aliyev Center. The overall shape of the building resembles a wave-like ascension from the ground towards the sky followed by gradual descent down to the earth 🤩

"Little Venice" in Baku Boulevard is a small town built in 1960. It was expanded up to 10.000 sq.m. in 2012. The town has two large and several small islands, which are connected by decorative stone bridges, and gondolas can be seen travelling in the channels full of still and clean water 💦💙

Many visitors that comes to Azerbaijan may not know that the country has the highest number of mud volcanoes in the world. 350 to be exact! One of the best known is Garasu Volcano, that has been known to spew mud over 1,000 metres into the air. The volcanoes are caused when gases under the earth build up and push the mud high into the air as a release. The first mud volcanoes are said to have erupted in Azerbaijan 25 million years ago, and visitors to Garasu often say that it looks like the surface of the moon! 🌒
