Today is day of remembrance for all kids that were killed in Sarajevo, at the beginning of 90’s. This morning kids from local primary and secondary schools gathered on Square of kids in Sarajevo, and gave an honor to the ones that died. This song is from Yugoslavian song writer Djordje Balasevic, called “Just let there be no war”, and it gives us so many chills whenever we hear it. When you lived through war, and at that point you were child,you can’t be indifferent each time when you see kids perform this song. During siege of Sarajevo 1600 kids were killed in the city. Today we pray for them, and all of the innocent kids that are killed all over the world. 🙏

Do you like legend stories on your journeys? When you listen to them, it’s like you went in totally different world, imaging things from certain period of time. This is legen about Una river, 215 K long river that is on a border line with Croatia. Named as “the one and only”.
This legend tells the story of ancient Roman warriors, who, due to constant warfare and conquering grew somehow rough and lost the ability to perceive beauty of the world. After reaching the river banks of the Una river they were profoundly moved by the scenery they had never seen before. They were bedazzled by the emerald-green water, fairytale waterfalls, vivacious and unsullied river banks, its incomparable natural surroundings.
One of those Roman warriors, fascinated by the scene, exclaimed “Una!” (Latin word for “One”, “the only one”). And there you are, a toughen Roma warrior described all the beauties of the river in one simple word. Una – the One among all the rivers, the incomparable, the unique emerald. And thus ever since the ancient Romans the unique river retained its unique name – UNA.

Real winter is finally here. Sarajevo is covered with snow, and personally I like it a lot. 84 we had Olympics, and it's with reason, reason of magical Sarajevo.
