We just had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful group of students from Italy for a special history lesson and guided tour of Sarajevo with Meet Bosnia Tours. It was truly a beautiful experience to sit down for coffee with them and talk about the rich and complex history of our city—the coexistence of three nations and four religions that has shaped Sarajevo for centuries, and the unique lifestyle and culture Sarajevans have preserved through time.

During the tour, we explored not only historical landmarks but also the deeper stories of tolerance, tradition, and everyday life in a city where East meets West.

Her visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is not only a recognition of the country’s beauty but also a valuable opportunity to showcase its authenticity, rich history, and the warmth of its people through the lens of one of the most influential figures in global tourism.

During her stay, we explored the hidden gems of Sarajevo, exchanged ideas on sustainable tourism, and discussed the importance of presenting local culture on the international stage. Another Wonderful Day in Sarajevo!

Today’s tour was a truly special experience as we had the pleasure of hosting a lovely group of ladies from Norway. From the moment we met, there was a beautiful energy — a sense of curiosity, warmth, and excitement to explore everything our city has to offer.

We wandered through the cobbled streets of Sarajevo’s Old Town (Baščaršija), shared stories over the scent of freshly brewed Bosnian coffee, stood where East meets West at the famous meeting point, and paused at the Latin Bridge to reflect on history that changed the world. The ladies were especially moved by the stories of resilience during the Siege of Sarajevo, and amazed by the unique blend of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and modern architecture that surrounds every corner of the city.

They tasted delicious local specialties, listened to sevdah melodies echoing from quiet corners, and admired the stunning views from the Yellow Fortress, where Sarajevo shines in all its glory. Their words at the end of the day? “Bosnia and Herzegovina is a hidden gem — we’ll definitely be back!”
