"I am originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo continues to be my home to this day. I'm a certified mountain guide by the Mountaineering Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina and UIAA standards (Official International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation, partner of the International Olympic Committee), and have a degree in Sociology. I've been guiding Exodus Travel mountain trips since 2006 (for 18 years now). When not leading trips, I am involved in the development of new outdoor adventure itineraries. My passion for the mountains and the rigours of the outdoors, combined with the warm-heartedness of the local people, left an indelible impression on me a long time ago. It will be my great pleasure to show you this part of the world and the area which holds a special place in my heart - the Dinaric Alps."

Do bears, wolves and lynx live in your favourite holiday hotspot?
They sure do live across the Dinaric Alps and Via Dinarica trail.

Even though these encounters can be frightening, only if you are really lucky, you will see them. In the major part of the Dinaric Alps, wildlife does not have much protection, so the wild animals are used to avoid contact with humans, probably the biggest predators of the Dinaric mountains.

We consider ourselves very lucky, knowing that bears, wolves, lynxes and many other forest creatures live in our mountains!

Sustainability Coordinators from five BiH destinations, including Zeleni otoci (Bosanska Krupa), National Park Kozara, Protected Landscape Marshland Tišina and Jekić Lakes (Šamac), and Nature Park Skakavac (Sarajevo), and the Municipality of Trebinje, and the representatives of the respective ministries visited, from 6-9 March 2023, the ITB Berlin fair.

The visit to the ITB enabled destinations to familiarize themselves with the practices, goals and current trends in sustainable tourism development.

The Activity Establishing Sustainable Tourism HUB for Destinations and Businesses is implemented under the EU4BusinessRecovery project co-financed by the European Union and the German government, and is jointly implemented by GIZ, UNDP i ILO.

Green Visions invites Consultants with experience in sustainable tourism training and certification to submit offers for the development of training and coaching materials for destinations, protected areas, and businesses, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The overall objective of the project is to encourage and motivate a shift in management and development of tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina towards green and sustainable tourism practices. The project will initiate a process of certification with globally recognised standards for destinations and businesses.

🇬🇧 Can you feel it...waves of crisp white snow coming towards us ❄️ it's only a matter of days when we get to venture out again on our snowshoes to one of the many pristine mountain ranges surrounding Sarajevo.

To get you into the mood we've put together a selection of stunning one-day snowshoeing trips for you.

They all follow a time tested formula created for you, to hassle free experience one of these amazing snow covered mountains during your visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦

Each trip starts from our Green Visions offices in the 1984 Olympic village of Mojmilo ✨

Greeted and briefed by our english speaking and experienced mountain guide you head off in our van to one of the starting points close to Sarajevo.

We get out, strap on our snowshoes and in no-time become real snow shoeing pros.

Then it's time to let the deep snow, expansive views and the work out do it's thing. With each step we forget the cold, and then when we're starting to tire there is lunch. Perched up high on the rocks, this picnic lunch will be you best ever.

With a trove of beautiful pictures and videos on our phones we set back off to the city.

Our snow shoeing trips are for those of you who love walking and exposing themselves to the winter elements 🥾

🇧🇦 Osjećate li talas hladnog zraka i snjezne atmosfere koje dolaze prema nama? Samo je pitanje dana kada ćemo se ponovo na krpljama odvažiti na novu avanturu i posjetiti neku od planina koje okružuju Sarajevo.

Da bismo vas zaintrigirali, u ponudi imamo niz interesantnih jednodnevnih izleta na krpljama.

Svaki od izleta prati provjerenu formulu na osnovu vaših povratnih informacija, kako biste bez po muke doživjeli jednu od naših nevjerovatnih tura i iskusili snijegom prekrivene planine tokom vašeg boravka u Bosni i Hercegovini.

Svaka zimska tura počinje iz naših Green Visions prostorija u olimpijskom selu Mojmilo.

Uz instrukcije jednog od naših iskusnih planinskih vodiča koji tečno govore engleski jezik, krećemo kombijem do jedne od polaznih tačaka u blizini Sarajeva.

Hodanje na krpljama je izuzetno jednostavno, te nakon svega par koraka postajemo pravi profesionalci u njihovom korištenju.

Sa prvim koracima kroz duboki snijeg, pogledima oko nas, te novom iskustvu, zaboravljamo hladnoću, a onda kada se umorimo slijedi ručak. Topao čaj ili kafa, visoko na stijenama, ce vam ovaj piknik ručak učiniti najboljim ikada.

Uz mnoštvo fotografija i video zapisa, krećemo natrag u grad.

Naši izleti na krpljama namijenjeni su onima od vas koji vole zimu, zimsko hodanje i ambijent.
