2024 was a year of incredible growth, with 617,228 stay-over arrivals from January to November — a 10% increase over 2023! Our success is driven by a booming U.S. market, expanded airlift, and new tourism investments like Hotel Indigo and Marriott's exciting transformations.
We’re proud of our Barbados Culinary Team, crowned Caribbean National Culinary Team of the Year 2024 at Taste of the Caribbean.

The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) was a proud sponsor of the recently concluded Barbados Open Water Festival 2024, held from November 6th to 10th. Each day brought a unique event, beginning with practice swims at Carlisle Bay (Barbados Yacht Club), Batts Rock Beach and Miami Beach on November 6th, 7th and 8th respectively.
The festival culminated with competitive open water races at Carlisle Bay, where the 1.5K swim took place on November 9th, followed by the 3.3K, 5K, and 10K races on November 10th. This exciting event encouraged international participation, boosted patronage for local accommodations and tourism-related businesses, and BHTA is thrilled to support an event which celebrates athleticism and community in Barbados.
