The Foul Bay barbi had an unexpected visitor last night, she hauled herself up out of the moonlit waves , dug her nest to the consternation of Wag the dog...and laid her eggs. Headed out to the dark sea once more. Majestic. Such a moment.

Last Sunday's jam was one of those special moments that cannot be predicted or bought. Just a room full of disparate folk enjoying, sharing and playing music. Marilyn who I last sang with 18 years ago, Chad, first time I had met him as that night. Glorious fun.

Barbecues R Us.
I try to get everyone down to Foul bay for a barbi at some point in their stay. Its just magical. The moon reflected off the dark waves, The darken cliffs and glowing sand. And the fact that inside every adult there is a young arsonist trying to break out. The Guyanese charcoal lasts for hours so a languid time can be spent gently cooking fresh tuna or lamb while holding back the thirst with a few cold ones. I haul an unlikely cache of acoustic instruments beach wards so we can sing under the stars.

Breezy barbi at Foul Bay last night with rack of lamb, some good tunes and John joined in on guitar and fiddle with Raphael's alto sax.

What a wonderful welcome/farewell dinner under the full moon tonight - guests arriving from Switzerland and guests leaving to go home to Canada tomorrow. New friendships were forged over Bajan roti, a little wine, and delicious brownies. We even pulled out the saxophone and guitar! 🎷🎸

As a guest here at Oughterson Plantation, I just experienced something unique & wonderful! Peter set up an outdoor movie for us - picture this (because photos at night are not the best): under the light of a full moon, comfy in the bed of a truck, watching a movie on the big screen projected on the barn. Complete with surround sound, popcorn & drinks. It was incredible! You can enjoy the same thing when you are here. :)
