Ajiyer means today. It is a Chittagonian word. Today is important for tomorrow. So, act today properly. Since 2002, AJIYER has been a fair trade tour operator in Bangladesh. AJIYER is the tour host of Meet the People Tours, which is a joint venture between Traidcraft, the UK’s leading fair trade organisation and Saddle Skedaddle, independent tour operator. AJIYER is engage in Community Based Tourism (CBT) . Implementation(planning, partnerships, community’s capacity to deliver, and funding and micro-credits.) and commercial viability(markets, product, links with the private sector).

What are our goals? Our goal is to give good-hearted people from other parts of the world an opportunity to learn about Bangladeshi culture, crafts, and biodiversity. With the aim of enhancing the livelihood of the rural community people; honoring the living culture, traditions, knowledge, skills, and rituals; and revitalizing the traditional industries. What do we offer? AJIYER provides an extended range of tours, from backpacking to elegant, to suit all visitors. To diversify the tourism experience by activities and locations by giving equal emphasis on the colorful rural Bangladesh. The beautiful rural setting, agricultural and craft based rural lifestyle, traditional food, costume and rituals of many indigenous and rural communities can be the major added attraction for tourism in Bangladesh.

“ আমরা পারি“ Textile Tour

Theme: Express your Freedom.
( 12th Friday to 14th Sunday 2024)

Day 1:Towards Tangail by bus at 10:00am arrived by 12:30am.
After lunch orientation 30 mins
Visit weavers village and Nayakrishi activity. Also you should finish your shopping ( if any )
At 6:pm introduce yourself and Q&A
Diner at 9 pm

Task : making concepts for next day activity. We expect relaxed serious thoughts of action in attitude. It's all about creativity, they don't have to do their best. The point is “ are we doing seriously? Can we do it ? “. expected attitude is “YES WE CAN!” If yes then RELAX!

Day 2. Saturday wakeup early at 7am. Breakfast at 8am.We Start at 9:00 am.
For your note maintaining time management is our life line.

BarBQ at 8pm

Day 3 Sunday After Breakfast at 11:30am depart. Bus time 12 pm

Package includes :
1. Dyeing master as mentor and indigo dyeing materials for dye.
2. All meals
3. Return A/C bus transportation
5. accommodation, room sharing with 4-5 person.
6. All time tea and safe water.

Students have to bring :
1. Sui suta
2. 3 yards of fabric or the same weight for any cloth for dye. NOT more than that weight.
3. Scissor
4. other tools which you think to have with you.
