🛫 Can a Boeing 747 Be Flown by Just One Pilot? ✈️
The iconic Boeing 747, lovingly known as the "Queen of the Skies," is a marvel of engineering. But can such a giant be flown by a single pilot? The short answer: technically yes, but practically no. Here's why:

এভিয়েশন বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, আগামী ১০ বছরের মধ্যেই এ গ্রোথ হবে প্রায় আরো তিন গুণ। তার সাথে এভিয়েশন এন্ড ট্যুরিজম” সেক্টরে ভবিষ্যৎ জব বা বিজনেস গড়তে ঢাকা এয়ারপোর্টের থার্ড টার্মিনাল গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে।

এক বছরে ১০ হাজার ৫৭৫ কোটি টাকা আয়ের রেকর্ড বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইন্সের। ২০২৩-২৪ অর্থবছরে রেকর্ড পরিমাণ এই আয় করেছে বিমান। এর মধ্যে অপারেশনাল মুনাফা অর্জিত হয়েছে এক হাজার ৫৫৬ কোটি টাকা। তবে ডলারের মূল্য বৃদ্ধিতে এক্সচেঞ্জ লস ও ট্যাক্স পরবর্তী ২৮২ কোটি টাকা নিট মুনাফা অর্জিত হয়েছে ওই অর্থবছরে। রাষ্ট্রীয় পতাকাবাহী এয়ারলাইন্সটির বার্ষিক সাধারণ সভায় এ তথ্য উঠে আসে।

Is 2025 going to be the year that makes or breaks NDC?

Some major NDC Centric announcements from Major carriers:

1. Qantas announced NDC as a preferred distribution channel via special surcharge structures. Traditional Edifact $13 per segment vs $3 and $0 per segment via NDC.

2. SAUDI AIRLINES announced that their NDC content will go live via Amadeus in 2025.

3. Amadeus ‘s Nevio is gaining leverage, Saudia is one of the first Major Airlines to use the service. Nevio leverages NDC standards.

4. Oman Air announces DCR (distribution cost recovery) Surcharge of USD 10 per segment for Edifact based channels. NDC and direct channels would be exempt from this charge.

5. Cathay Pacific NDC content is currently available through Symphony from 2023. They are actively working on enabling its NDC content through Travelport which should be available in Q1 of 2025.

6. SriLankan Airlines Official launched their Direct Connect NDC channel in 2024. Agents incentivized to adopt through private fares, guaranteed lowest fares‚ fare families and other promotional fares; ancillary products; free date changes

7. Emirates NDC content went live on Travelport in July of this year. Agents promised access to "enriched content" through NDC.

With such an active push from the industry NDC has to gain leverage as the preferred distribution Channel.
