The main museum building is placed at the “Sardar Bari”. “Sardar Bari” was built by a Hindu Zamindar of Sonargaon in 1901. Its remarkable designs and carvings are similar to the other Hindu Zamindar houses found in India and to some extent it also has a touch of designs used in European palaces. The baroque decoration and the elaborated painting on the plaster of the building are really eye catching.
Lok Shilpa Jadughar (Folk Art and Craft Museum) of Sonargaon was established by Bangladeshi painter Joynul Abedin on March 12, 1975.
It will cost you 10 taka to enter the museum area. It's a vast area, and will take you significant amount of time to cover the whole region. You’ll find an art gallery of “Zainul Abedin” inside the museum area. There are two Exhibition Galleries inside the museum. Murapara Jomidar Bari | Rupganj | Exploit (4K)
"Murapara Jomidar Bari" is one of the examples of such activity of an affluent community located in Murapara village, about 25 kilometres southeast of Dhaka on the western side of the Dhaka-Narsingdi road. The Murapara Jomidarbari ( মুড়াপাড়া জমিদার বাড়ি )/Palace was established by the founder of the Murapara Raj family named Ramratan Banerjee. He was appointed as treasurer of the Natore estate and rose to a high position and acquired large properties by dint of his honesty. One source says it was Ramratan Banarjee who constructed the palace in 1889 but the other source says he just established the basement of the structure. It was Protap Chandra Banarjee who left his old traditional house and made new palace behind the old one in 1889.

Panam City Sonargaon Bangladesh | Exploit
Panam City Sonargaon Bangladesh | Exploit
Panam City is situated in Sonargaon Upazila in Narayanganj District. It takes about an hour to reach there from capital city Dhaka. It is an ancient Historical place in Bangladesh. The old historical buildings, several Mughal monuments including the Sonakanda River Fort, The Panch Pir Mazar Shrine, and Ibrahim’s and Abdul Hamid’s Mosque are genuinely attractive.
Panam Nagar, a unique township, stretched in a single street 5 meter wide on the average and 600 meter in length. All the buildings have the character of urban street front houses and are lined up on either side of this street which ends up at the Panam bazar.
Panam Nagar is known as ‘the lost city’ because, all the buildings that covers this whole city are ancient and are historically connected with different ancient rulers, which still exists but has lost its origin. Tourists visit The Panam City just for the beautiful archeological designed buildings and monuments. This mesmerizing attractive city makes it worth to visit for all the visitors who come to visit. And also it isn’t far from Dhaka, the capital city, so it could be a good small tour for everyone.
As journeys are always tiring, especially for families, kids get tired easily, there are good local hotels that provides satisfying service to the tourists.
