Missed the CGMA Leadership Academy 2024? Here's a quick peek at what went down on Days 3 and 4 of this transformative event!

Day 3 featured Noel Tagoe, FCMA, CGMA, Chief Executive of Sandhills Advisory Services, who emphasized the importance of clear communication in leadership and inspired participants to reflect on their growth. The day culminated in a grand graduation ceremony and dinner at a stunning hotel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, offering breathtaking views.

Day 4 wrapped up with insightful sessions by Tunku Dato’ Mahmood Fawzy Tunku Muhiyiddin, FCMA, CGMA, Chairman of Deutsche Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, on building high-performing teams and Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed FCMA CGMA, Chairman of IMPACT Integrated (KBS), on leading transformational change. Andrew Harding FCMA CGMA, Chief Executive – Management Accounting, closed the academy with an inspiring message to lead with purpose.

The theme of the day was Leadership Essentials and ESG, featuring highly engaging sessions and a panel discussion with an esteemed lineup of speakers:
Noel Tagoe, FCMA, CGMA, Chief Executive of Sandhills Advisory Services, UK, and Amanah Aboobucker, Chief Sustainability Officer at AmBank Group.
The panel discussion included Phang Oy Cheng from KPMG, Dato’ Ahmad Rizal Bin Abdul Rahman, FCMA, CGMA, Non-Executive Independent Director for Reservoir Link Berhad, Mentiga Corporation Berhad, Lebtech Berhad, and UKM Specialist Centre Sdn Bhd, Satpal Singh Dadar Singh from PLUS, and Olivier Estienne from Veolia Water Technologies.

The CGMA Leadership Academy 2024 wrapped up on a high note from October 7-10 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! This transformative 4-day gathering united ACMAs from around the globe engaging in transformative learning, strategic leadership and global networking. Starting today, we’re excited to share daily highlights showcasing the remarkable insights of this annual event.

Here are the highlights from Day 1: Irene Teng, EVP of Global Markets at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, set an inspiring tone, followed by Barry Melancon, CPA, CGMA, CEO of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and President & CEO of the American Institute of CPAs, who articulated his vision for the future of CGMA professionals. Participants then immersed themselves in sessions with Sreenivasa Sekhar Josyula, CTO of Accenture Operations India, focusing on digital transformation, and Preetha Nadarajah, Technology Advisor at TSLC, who shared groundbreaking insights on AI and cyber insurance.
