ধ্বংসের পথে মহাকবি মধুসূদনের মামার বাড়ি।
কাঠিপাড়া,পাইকগাছা, খুলনা।

মহাকবি মাইকেল মধুসূদন দত্তের বাবা রাজনারায়ণ দত্ত ছিলেন যশোর জেলার কেশবপুর থানার কপোতাক্ষ তীরের সাগরদাঁড়ী গ্রামের প্রভাবশালী জমিদার। মা জাহ্নবী দেবী ছিলেন খুলনা জেলার পাইকগাছা উপজেলার রাড়ুলী ইউনিয়নের কাটিপাড়া গ্রামের গৌরীচরণ ঘোষের মেয়ে। মামার নাম বংশী লাল ঘোষ। বেশির ভাগ সূত্রমতে সাগরদাঁড়ীকেই কবির জন্মস্থান হিসেবে দাবি করা হয়। তবে স্থানীয়দের মতে মামার বাড়িতেই কবি জন্মগ্রহণ করেছিলেন।

এলাকায় প্রচলন আছে, খ্রিষ্টধর্ম গ্রহণ করায় মামার বাড়ির নারীরা তাকে বাড়িতে ঢুকতে দেয়নি। কাছারি বাড়িতেই কবিকে বসতে এবং খেতে দেওয়া হয়। বর্তমানে কবির মামাদের মূলবাড়িটি যেখানে ছিল সেখানে মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় স্থাপন করা হয়েছে। বিদ্যালয়টির নাম কাটিপাড়া মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়। তবে এখনও অরক্ষিত অবস্থায় কালের সাক্ষী হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে রয়েছে স্মৃতি বিজড়িত ৩টি মন্দিরের অংশ বিশেষ।

১৭২০ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে স্থাপিত হয় মন্দির ৩টি। যার একদিকে রয়েছে দোল মন্দির এটি সবচেয়ে সু-উচ্চ। মাঝে রয়েছে শিব মন্দির ও তার পরেই রয়েছে চণ্ডী মন্দির। সংরক্ষণের অভাবে মন্দিরগুলোও ধ্বংস হতে চলেছে।

কাঠমান্ডু দরবার স্কোয়ার কাঠমান্ডু, নেপালের একটি ঐতিহাসিক এবং সাংস্কৃতিকভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য স্থান। এটি নেপালের কাঠমান্ডু উপত্যকার তিনটি দরবার স্কোয়ারের মধ্যে একটি যা ইউনেস্কোর ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ সাইট

কাঠমান্ডুর দরবার স্কোয়্যার ছিল যেখানে শহরের রাজাদের একসময় মুকুট পরিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছিল এবং বৈধতা দেওয়া হয়েছিল এবং যেখান থেকে তারা শাসন করতেন (দরবার মানে প্রাসাদ)। এইভাবে, স্কোয়ারটি পুরানো শহরের ঐতিহ্যবাহী হৃদয় এবং কাঠমান্ডুর ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থাপত্যের সবচেয়ে দর্শনীয় উত্তরাধিকার হিসেবে রয়ে গেছে।
এটি 13 শতকে জয়সিথি মল্ল দ্বারা নির্মিত হয়েছিল এবং হিন্দু মল্ল রাজবংশের (1200-1769) রাজকীয় প্রাসাদ কমপ্লেক্স হিসাবে কাজ করেছিল।
স্কোয়ারটি আসলেই একটি জীবন্ত জাদুঘর। আপনি যেখানেই ঘুরবেন সেখানে আপনি প্রচুর প্রাচীন স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ, ভবন এবং মন্দির দেখতে পাবেন।

বৌদ্ধ স্তুূপ :
বৌদ্ধ স্তূপ বা জারুং কাশোর, যা খাস্তি চৈত্য বা খাসা চৈত্য নামেও পরিচিত, একটি স্তূপ এবং প্রধান আধ্যাত্মিক ল্যান্ডমার্ক যা নেপালের কাঠমান্ডু শহরের মধ্যে বৌধনাথে অবস্থিত সমস্ত বুদ্ধের আলোকিত মনের মূর্ত প্রতীক হিসাবে দেখা যায়।
স্তূপের নামটি এসেছে তিব্বতিদের শব্দ Jarung Kashor Chörten থেকে, যেখানে jarung মানে "এটা করা যায়" এবং কাশোর মানে "মুখ থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা"। এটিকে মূলত খাস্তি মহাচৈত্য বলা হত, যার অর্থ "শিশির বিন্দুর মহান স্তূপ"।

স্তূপটি একটি মন্ডলা আকারে স্থাপন করা হয়েছে এবং এর পিরামিডটি আলোকিতকরণের ঊর্ধ্বমুখী পথের প্রতীক। প্লিন্থটি পৃথিবীর প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে, গম্বুজটি জল, বর্গাকার টাওয়ারটি আগুন, স্পায়ারটি বায়ু এবং শীর্ষে থাকা ছাতাটি স্থানের বাইরে শূন্যতা বা ইথার।

বৌধনাথ স্তূপ একটি প্রধান তীর্থস্থান এবং পর্যটন আকর্ষণ। এটি একটি সক্রিয় উপাসনার স্থান, বিশেষ করে তিব্বতি বৌদ্ধ ধর্মের অনুসারীদের জন্য।

রকেট প্যাডেল স্টিমার মাহসুদ,রয়েছে শতবছরের ঐতিহ্য, ইতিহাস ;দেশের শীর্ষস্থানীয় বৃহৎ প্যাডেল স্টিমার।
সেই ব্রিটিশ শাসনাধীন ১৯২৮ সালে তৈরী মাহসুদ দৈর্ঘ্যে ২৩৫ ফুট,২০২০ সাল পর্যন্ত যাত্রীসেবা দিয়েছে স্টিমারটি।

ইতিহাস থেকে জানা যায় ১৮৮৫ সাল বরিশাল থেকে খুলনায় স্টিমার চালু হয়

প্যাডেল স্টিমার ছিল একসময়ের রাজকীয় বাহন নদীপথের রাজা;আভিজাত্য, নিরাপত্তার প্রতীক,কয়েকযুগ আগেও স্টিমার ছিল গতিতে সবচেয়ে দ্রুতগামী তাই রকেট নামে ডাকা হত,
বিদেশি পর্যটকদের কাছে প্রথম পছন্দ ছিল স্টিমার সার্ভিস, প্রতিবছর অসংখ্য পর্যটক এদেশে আসত শুধু শতবর্ষী স্টিমারে ভ্রমন করতে।

প্যাডেল স্টিমার ডাইনিংয়ের খাবার যাত্রীদের কাছে বিশেষ আকর্ষণীয় ছিল, যার সুখ্যাতি এখনো যাত্রীদের মনে রয়ে গেছে।

একসময়ে নদীপথে রাজত্ব করত প্যাডেল স্টিমার গাজী, কিউই, মাহসুদ, অস্ট্রিচ, লেপচা, টার্ন এসব সহ অন্যান্য প্যাডেল স্টিমার।
স্টিমারগুলো একসময়ে কয়লায় চলত, ১৯৮৩ সালে ডিজেল ইঞ্জিনে প্রতিস্থাপন করা হয়।

দিন 2: খুব ভোরে ট্রলারে করে কটকার চারপাশে খাল ঘুরে। ট্রলার থামিয়ে গভীরভাবে প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করুন এবং ওয়াচ টাওয়ার এবং জামতলা সহ বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির প্রাণী যেমন হরিণ, ব্যাঙ, বানর, বন্য শুয়োর, হরিণ, বন্য শূকর এবং বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির পাখি উপভোগ করুন। সকালের নাস্তার পর আমরা নিচে চলে যাব। কটকা অফিসে, ভাগ্য ভালো থাকলে আমরা প্রচুর হরিণ দেখতে পাব, সেখান থেকে আমরা জাহাজে ফিরব, তারপর আবার জাহাজে কচিখালী যাব, কচিখালী ও ডিমের চর ঘুরে সন্ধ্যার মধ্যে পর্যটক ভেড়ার কাছে আসব। সন্ধ্যায় বার-বি-কিউ ডিনার করে জাহাজটি করমজলের দিকে রওনা হবে
